Retro gaming is back and in full force, as we have a number of ways to celebrate the old-school days of gaming. So what’s the next step? Well, for Sega, it just makes sense -- it’s time to bring back the Dreamcast.
Here's a better idea, bring Dreamcast games to modern consoles. If you people want your classic mini consoles so much, why did you sell your old systems to begin with? Also, a Dreamcast mini would likely include, Sonic Adventure 1 and 2, Jet Set Radio, Sega Bass Fishing, Space Channel 5 Part 2, Shenmue 1 and 2 and Crazy Taxi. So 8 of the games would have been released on modern hardware anyway. This article is asking for Phantasy Star Online too. That won't be happening. The game is old, they won't be reopening servers for it. We also have a load of private servers now which do the job just as good, so there is no need for it.
"If you people want your classic mini consoles so much, why did you sell your old systems to begin with?" Oh? You don't understand, people's older systems suddenly materialize when BC is discussed.
I do still have my PS3. I've not played a PlayStation or PS2 game hardly at all. Hell... I've only played one PS3 game since I got my PS4. That's probably why I don't care about backward comparability.
I meant compatibility.
Give me an updated or new power stone..... please.
All iv'e wanted for years and years
Give me a mini Saturn instead!
I want a Panasonic 3DO keychain. All the dead consoles immortalized as bling
Saturn was really a cool system when you really look at it. So much potential squandered. It still had some remarkable games for it's time. Many of them have been re-released on PS1, although they often weren't as good. PS2 and Xbox saw a lot of re-releases as well.
Shadow Squadron was awesome.
Just Marvel VS Capcom 2 and Soulcalibur alone would have me be tempted to pick one up. But with licenses and all that probably won't happen.
I still have my Dreamcast with games that certainly wouldn't be preloaded on a mini version. Gunlord, Sturmwind, Last hope, Redux. I love the idea though but would be limited like the PS1 mini.
Soul Caliber and D2 are still a regular entry in my DC game playing time.:) I also like the Sakura Taisen games which I always enjoyed, but never saw a western release.
It would have to be a joint deal with capcom
Just make Powerstone 2 online, already.
Well it would probably be better than Sony's effort with the PS1, that doesn't look like it's resolution enhanced or even using any kind of anti aliasing.
LOL, no one needs a mini Dreamcast, why would you need to restrain you games choise when you can have the original machine that runs all the games.
