A wonderful story that kept me interested, characters that meant something, beautiful environments, and a genuine feeling of satisfaction after completing the game. If you know me, you know Final Fantasy IX is my favorite JRPG of all time and my favorite in that franchise. Today, I’m proud to say that Dragon Quest XI has earned its spot at the top.
Following the announcement of Dragon Quest XII, Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake, and more earlier today, Square Enix sent in an official press release providing sales update about Dragon Quest XI and confirming plans for the west.
Daily Video Game writes: "If you're a fan of Square Enix games and are looking for new games published by this game company for your PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, then this sale is for you! Just preloaded it on Ekbok, this will hopefully keep me entertained until Cyberpunk 2077.
Definitely will be in the discussion for one the best JRPGs of 2018.
I'm not too far yet, but the battle system seems pretty basic and boring as of now. The story is pretty nice so far. Characters seem pretty realistic and relatable. I've backlogged it. As of now Ni no Kuni II is the best JRPG this year. Apart from the game being pretty easy on the story content before the update, that game was a masterpiece for me personally
I've been playing nothing but this game since it released. Between story, quests, battles and mini games I'm over 150 hours in already. I will mention here that when I first started playing I didn't notice the difficulty options at the name selection screen. I played the first 10+ hours of the game on normal difficulty and started to get bored with it. Once I started over with stronger monsters on it felt so much better, because on normal you pretty much just one shot everything.
This is the first game I've played In the Dragon Quest series, I'm loving everything apart from 2 things, I'm going to get some criticism, different strokes for different folks kind of thing. [I don't hate the game]
*Battle Music) I just simply can't stand it, It's like 80's cartoon Intro repeating itself, Every other piece of music I've listened to up-to obtaining the crossbow doesn't bother me.
*Crafting Forge) Crafting in this game Is fantastic, superb, Do I have travel to say campsites to operate the forge?
