Kingdom Hearts fans who are eagerly waiting for the upcoming game don’t really have much choice in their platform if they want to experience the previous games, and this is something that needs to change.
Seems possible since it’ll be a long while until the next major game in the series after KH3 comes around. Be a great way to further profit on the series
To be honest I don't understand why the KH remixes are only in PS4. Between the Xbox One and Switch there's something like 50-60 mil consoles? That's a good sized audience to release a game for.
At twice the production cost when that 50-60 doesn't translate into 1-1 sales?
It would probably do well on the switch, Xbox just doesn’t have the audience for it.
@Godmars290 - for XB1 it's literally copy + paste. Same CPU architecture, similar enough GPUs.
@Godmars290 Are you saying KH is that weak a franchise that it couldn't make its money back? If you believe that then 3 is destined to be a flop in your view. @Kevnb I'm sure it would do good. Not like Disney struggles in the west so a franchise that makes heavy use of their properties should perform well.
They’re not on Switch cuz the console released after the remasters, and the developers were devoting their time to KH3 instead. It’s anybody’s guess why it’s not on Xbox One though.
Its curious Square doubled down by saying in the release date announce that only ps4 would have the complete collection. I would have thought that would be the time to announce multiplat release. I mean the box doesnt say only on playstation so anything is possible, especially considering this is a new multiplat square. Maybe a lot more work would have to go into the ports for some reason? Dont really get it. I'm sure its just a matter of time, but not coming out before 3 does would be kinda stupid. Personally it would feel weird playing KH on an xbox controller though.
Wonder if it's some sort of licensing issue because none of the KH games have even been released on PC either. And lately, SE throws everything at PC.
