Girl gamers are notorious for their negative attitudes and their lack of sportsmanship. They love to cut down and crucify any other girl that might be giving them any competition. They call any girl around them "attention whores," and they like to question her knowledge of games.

I know i might get some disagrees but, truth is... THEY TRY TO GET ATTENTION SO MUCH THAT ITS ANNOYING!

Every now or then a girl appears playing CoD4. I swear its true! They start talking trash in the lobby. Saying, ´´hey Im a girl and I pawned U´´ - to the last guy on the lobby. Its a 16 players match! She his 15 in the lobby rank and talks trash to the only guy who entered the game on the last second! Of course he is last!

The problem starts when 12 year old boys (why are they playing COD4 +18 years old beats me) start talking about sex and related stuff. In that moment, things go from bad to worse. Usually the game ends there.

Girls and boys are equal in video games in terms of skill and power.
Therefore, they shouldnt expect us boys to go easy on them.

If they win, they mock u saying they are girls.
If they lose, they mock u saying they are girls.

well, when they don't say anything they get a lot of trash talking from the guys. i have a few girls on my friends list and some of them do play cod4. as soon as the lobby starts if she is talking to us, someone else will start talking crap to her. if she scores low she then gets told to go back to the kitchen and all that crap.

as for what girl gamers say to other girl gamers....well women in general do that to each other anyway. i don't think it has anything to do with the gaming. eg; you walk into a club with a gorgeous looking girl, notice the men's reactions and then take a look at all the women as well.

Maybe I'm not playing enough Pixel Junk Dishwasher, or maybe they're all doing their nails together in respawn purgatory, but I'm just not seeing them. Actually the girl gamers I've played with are usually polite and use teamwork/communicate well. The male gamers are usually the a-holes.

I can't relate to this article at all, and yes, I'm a lady. I say 'lady' because I think I'm too old to be called a 'girl'. I have no catiness toward any other female gamers. In fact, I completely geek-out when I meet another female who loves games and we always get along. But then again, I do the same thing when I meet a guy gamer.

The author is from outerspace or fears women. I know a lot gaming chicks and they are mostly pretty much "good guys". Those nasty gals and other offensive cases as he/she/it mentioned are quite rare but they happen. Speaking about probabilities, I've met more male b**ches than female in terms of percentage, not overall quanity.
But then again, it may be cause we're friends in real life.
That's just my point.

Since when did gaming and the female population existed together? Every time I thought it was a female gamer it was either a "sexually challenged" male or someones sister who did something wrong/stupid then cry their way out of it saying it wasn't them (brother/boyfriend going to the toilet then comming back to a dead character).

The only thing I've noticed about female gamers is how much male gamers run to their aid to defend them. If a female gamer w/ a feminine gamer ID makes a stupid comment and male gamer calls them out, you can bet some guy who thinks he'll get laid, comes to her defence even when he know she's wrong. That's not the fault of female gamers, but let's not pretend that since there are very few female gamers there is no competition for attention. It's like episode of South Park when Wendy become jealous and the boys start acting like apes in heat.

I am all out bring more women/girls to gaming, especially by creating games that have women in the lead role, and not the over sexuallized crap that exists today. NO more giant boobs with specially made d-cup chest armor.

I have played against some really cool women not girls....like some of ubisofts Frag Girls and a few of the PMS members they have and most of them were cool and just loved to game......

I've only really played online with 1 girl gamer b4, i think me and her were the only 2 with mics and we were playing ut3. she was really cool, she was a stripper and we both were challenging each other and taking shots at the same time, i could tell she was drunk by the tone in her voice.... good times..hopefully when home comes out I'll meet more like minded gamer girls , it seems like girls well like home in my opinion

People harrass the girl gamer first. I play with a woman on COD4 pretty often and someone always has to smart mouth her once they her the voice. She fires back and then it's a rivalry for the rest of the game. (What's funny is she normally out trash talks them in lobby and that normally shuts em up).
