Rising Dusk review - Games Asylum

Games Asylum: "Had this 2D platformer launched in the ‘90s, it would likely be mentioned in the same sentence as Natsume’s Pocky & Rocky and Konami’s Goemon (aka The Legend of Mystical Ninja,) due to it featuring similar sights. This too uses ancient Japanese folklore as its central theme, set in a world full of yōkai of varying friendliness. It plays like neither of these SNES classics, however, being conceptually different from most 2D platformers out there."
