[Spoilers] Unboxing Marvel's Spider-Man's Collectors' Edition

Showing you all the goodies that every Spider-Man fan would want!

Cancelled. You know me and collectors editions but this is such a letdown, I mean was that really worth all the hype and build up? Especially for the price they asking, I'm sorry but it's not worth £129.99 at all. The statue looks pretty poor for that price and small, only the size of a steelbook.

A lot of people were expecting a huge, Halo Reach like statue with Spiderman clashing with one or maybe more of the Sinister Six not him on top of a jumped pile of their outfits. I don't even know what's spoiler like with this edition aswell when we knew the Sinister Six were involved since E3.

For comparisons sake look at the Batman Arkham Knight Collectors Edition for example.

That was £89.99 at launch and the statue, which was great quality, even lit up. Very underwhelming.

Yeah I saw the same response from a few people who got it as well. I get what they are doing with it,but it just doesn’t work IMO when it really just looks like spiderman perched on a pile of junk

If they made it really big and expanded on the outfits within the pile then I could see it working but even then I don't think it would have looked amazing.

I could go on...there was a huge list of other options they could have gone with instead of trying to cram so much on one small statue. Jeez man I'd have even taken a higher quality statue of just Spiderman.

But the fact is that is not,you actually have to see it to appreciate the craft and detail.

Think might cancel mine as well .... i expected it to be bigger but it looks rather small, i bought some of the MS collector editions late after they were out i think halo 5 cost me 50 canadian and re-core was 60 and those are huge and their quality really shows ... this on the other hand for 200 canadian ... i duno.
I mean horizon and uncharted 4 are and god of war were like 170 $ and they seem to be better quality than this..... i ll rewatch the video again on a bigger screen and decide

Depends where you got it from but I got mine from GAME and they told me to just reject the delivery. It's sent back, it gets noted and they'll refund you.

while I'd still love one I have to agree. It looks like a letdown. While I'd be happy to have one I'd also be incredibly let down. The statue isn't what was shown simply based off Spidermans stance. Guess that's why, to the best of my knowledge, they never did show the final product this Summer. And for the price, yes, it's small and they went overly complicated with cramming in all the characters features. On top of that the price of $130. Forget how much Horizon Zero Dawn cost me but that is a nice size piece w/ great detail. Or GoW 3 with Pandoras Box, Last Guardian CE, Killzone 3 CE.... I understand these figures aren't cheap to produce but this is just weak compared to what little they had shown and what one expects not only based off what was shown but Sonys own CE in the past.

It’s funny you mention that because they did say it was going to get a Summer reveal and all of a sudden it’s “a spoiler”. Sudden 180.

I think they had issues with the statue and they ended up with this.

I agree as soon as I seen it I thought it was corny. Didn’t even know what he was standing on until you mentioned it..

Very corny.... however, I cant f’n wait to play the game though. just under 6 hrs before I can download the game!

Are you really comparing that Batman edition to this piece,the piece is not big has big like the Batman Arkham Knight one but has much more detail than the Arkham Knight piece, the craftmanship of this piece is way above the Arkham Knight one.

My friend who have pre-ordered the CE just saw the thumbnail on this "article". Lets me put this mildly, I think he seriously is going to travel across the globe just to show his new baseball bat for the noob that posted it... ;)

damn.. I don't want to watch the video, but looking at the blurred photo it definitely looks a little underwhelming. My Kratos and Aloy statues are pieces of work and look amazing on my shelf. This thing looks flat and plain. And I don't know if it was worth the "new" pricing scheme for these Collectors Editions. I guess I could always not open it and return it to Best Buy...

Why couldn't they have made it look amazing?

First this is a statue of Spider-man a icon you can not even compare it to Aloy and Kratos thats the truth, the piece and its not what the video seems to show ,its not massive like the Kratos one but its well made,detail out of the ordinary,its not for everyone likings but i love it and frankly the price is suitable not to mention for collectors and Marvel aficionados its a must its a rare piece. Well my collector dost me 135€ and for me its well spent on this edition.

The problem is the Horizon and God of War ones were cheaper, and the quality of the statues are ridiculous. So why is it ok to justify the additional price for a lower quality statue just because it's Spider-man.
