Review: Zone Of The Enders: The 2nd Runner – Mars | VRFocus

This cult hit mech battling title benefits greatly from a conversion into VR.

Glad to here someone like it. Am waiting for my pre-ordered Steam code to activate and been reading the discussion forums and it's not getting the best reactions so far. They might be playing the demo though.

Awesome. Another reason for enjoying PSVR.

Now, if Namco Bandai can make me a Max and Miriya Macross/Robotech simulator so that I can live those fond memories too, that would be great. They could even port the PS2 version into VR and clean up the graphics and I'd take it.

Make it happen NB. Get Sega's help if needed since they're bringing old franchises back.

It is. And I need to see it. Still got the Japanese version on my US PS2 using swap magic.

The VR game could even use eye tracking to look at the oncoming missiles to lock onto them before they hit you like Roy Focker did in Macross Zero.

If it had Ace Combat7 VR mode level graphics, that would be awesome.

Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner – Mars review - ChristCenteredGamer

The game starts when Dingo, who is piloting a mining mech, stumbles upon a strange package that happens to have the Orbital Frame (what they call combat-ready mechs in this universe) Jehuty inside. As (bad) luck would have it, another group shows up and wants to take it from him almost immediately, destroying his mining mech in the process. Not being one to let another just take what he found, he fights back, and keeps it. Of course, that is far from the end of the story. He pursues those who he believes to be bad actors, and gets captured, which then leads to him getting shot – and almost killed, except for the quick work of another who hopes to use his skill in Jehuty to further another goal.

ZONE OF THE ENDERS: The 2nd Runner - M∀RS (PS4) Review | GamePitt

Lyam writes: Back on the PlayStation 2, a series from Konami was released called Zone of the Enders. They featured mecha battles and action, along with anime-styled characters and story. Years later, a high definition collection came out on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 with crisp, HD models, all while being able to unlock trophies and achievements.

Konami has decided to give it one more remaster, only this time they have released ZONE OF THE ENDERS: The 2nd Runner – M∀RS on the PC and PlayStation 4 with 4k visuals as well as full VR support. The question is, does it still stand up well or is this a cockpit to eject from?

Zone of the Enders: The Second Runner MARS Review - Full of Ma-Zingers | MonsterVine

MonsterVine: "It may have a short, nonsensical story and amazingly poor voice-acting and writing, but Second Runner MARS looks great, is fun to play, and adequately fulfills every person’s fantasy of operating a giant robot suit in VR."
