For a series so beloved, the core titles in Capcom’s survival horror series vary wildly in quality. With the Resident Evil 2 Remake set for release in January and looking really impressive, it’s time to look back at the main, numbered Resident Evil games and work out which ones are still worth your time.
A major Resident Evil voice actor was recently asked about the rumored Resident Evil 1 Remake and allegedly dropped a major hint.
It will come. I just think it will be after code Veronica, and zero. Maybe in line with when RE 10 releases…
do we really need another remake?

Noticeable lack of mention to Resident Evil: Revelations 1&2 on this list
When judged purely as survival horror experiences, RE remake is the best, followed by RE2.
This list was spot on to me, I wouln’t change anything... the only thing that am hoping its to add is a new #1 to that list with RE2 remake.( fingers crossed).
Am 39 years old so I play them all at the time they came out, and am guessing the lack of the “revelations games” in this list is due to the fact that the RER games where never AAA games but a port of 3DS games at the time where we already had a RS5 for example. Resident Evil Revelations were not a high buget games... never expected to be bloockbuster games.
