It's crazy that we live in an age where a developer actually has to make a statement about codenames dug up from their engine, for no other reason than to dispel rumors about correlations between Greek gods and an unannounced game system.

This is why I usually ignore rumors unless there’s more concrete proof.

I’m happy with PS4 at the moment. We have Dargon Quest 11 and Spider-Man right around the corner. Then Ghost of Tsushima, Death Stranding, and The Last of Us: Part 2 down the road.

Now if PS5 plays PS4 games then I’m ready.

Well, it happens often enough you have different parts of code for different platforms but to call the Switch platform EREBUS which is then littered around in the code seems rather weird since they would need to be renamed in the final code. And honestly, that Tweet shows both EREBUS and SWITCH which is odd.

Not saying it's the PS5 or that they are lying, it just seems weird. Heck, it could be Google's console? Or Amazon is stepping up? Or it is indeed the PS5's codename, in any case they could be under an NDA so they have to deny it...

Still, I'd rather just not listen to all kinds of silly rumours and just wait for actual concrete anouncements!
