Anti-tamper tech is far from iron-clad, but pirates are only willing to wait so long for a cracked game.

As long as it's not affecting performance

Sgt_Slaughter104d ago

But it is, it's not a matter of opinion. Denuvo hinders games sales wise and performance wise.

WitcheRivia104d ago

That's a lie otherwise Denuvo would be removed from EVERY game after its initial sales. Denuvo only encourages people to pirate the game because the pirated copies have no performance issues.

Yes. Companies pay for a third party company just so they can drag your performance through the mud. Makes sense.

Srhalo104d ago

Well... I agree it makes no sense but that is exactly what is happening. It's been shown time and time again that when Denuvo is removed games run better.

Razmiran104d ago

To be fair, denuvo not being removed is the game publishers fault, not denuvos

pody103d ago

Unfortunately even the pirated games now have performance issues from Denuvo. Look no further then the latest cracked game, Injustice 2.

GameBoyColor104d ago

Funny how this cuts into sales because people don't like how it usually affects performance and will not buy any games with denuvo day 1.

Bonus question: What happens to all Denuvo-protected games when the company goes belly-up and its servers shut down?

GOG is right. FCKDRM.

That's all the comments that article really needs and currently happens to be the only one lol.

Gotta love that elusive statement " It's more complicated than just numbers XD " That doesn't even make sense.

So what are they expecting? America is not the rest of the world, in some countries 60$ for a game is a lot of money and that's why they choose to pirate.
