I would kill to see Remedy (Control) develop a remake of Path of Neo. If ever there was a case for a game being remade, PoN couldn't be more deserving. Well, that and maybe the original Metal Gear 1 & 2.
I loved Enter The Matrix but was probably the minority and being a teenager with lower gaming standards probably helped.
There was a Matrix game pretty damn good that I played from start to finish, I think it was the path of Neo I think that was the one. :D

Enter the matrix was an awesome game. It would be nice to have a new one but it would have to really push the boundaries of physics and animation to be any different this time around.
I remember really wanting to love Enter the Matrix. For a movie licensed game, it was also super hard to buy at the time, and there was a insatiable itch to scratch in being able to enter that universe in playable fashion.

I remember The Matrix Online. It was one of those games that filled you with so much hope for the potential of what could be achieved. Unfortunately the developers could not compete with the expectations of both the fans and the publishers. The Matrix movie was such a huge property at the time - both cinematically and ideologically, that to do it any justice it would have needed much more resources and a much greater depth of vision for the game, than just the quick cash grab that WB saw in it.
