Cyberpunk 2077 - CD Projekt on Night City, its buildings, NPCs, and the deserts and mountains beyond

VG247: Towards the start of Cyberpunk 2077’s gamescom demo, lead character V awakes in her apartment and pulls back the blinds.

Will scoop up GOTY whenever it's out!

Stanjara2066d ago (Edited 2066d ago )

I can reply here. CD project are creating hype and interest for their game. They own their IP so they can do with it, or market it as they want. Also the game isn't ready, isn't for public showing where a bunch of kids would nitpick all the faults and scream downgrade. Public would also influence their vision and confidence by comments: I don't like this or that. So in a way they are marketing it by showing it to professionals where they can objectively summerise what they saw.

Bethesda showed Elder Scrolls 6...the font of it.

Have you played Witcher 3? Did you like it? You felt that you got your money's worth? No?

Oh and by the way, I don't want to see gameplay. I'm am going in cold as ice!

roadkillers2065d ago (Edited 2065d ago )

Lol. Well we need sheep otherwise there would be no point in shepards or any reason for wolves to dress in wool... Jesus for the win!

Edit: The hype has scooped up

zodiac9092066d ago

Why is there so many written interviews of this game, yet we can't even see a 10 second leak of the E3 behind closed doors footage yet..?

showtimefolks2066d ago

Because CD project red realized by not showing the game to public they can basically get these so called gaming journalists(with YouTube now everyone is basically a gaming journalist) have become the hype men for CD project red

Think about it if they actually showed the game there is no way it would have gotten this much hype for this long. This is coming from a CD project red fan. If the demo was great enough to. Show journalists why couldn't they show something to actual fans who will buy it

sampsonon2066d ago

arrogance, that's why.

oops! here come the sheep...

Razmiran2066d ago

Its the same thing rockstar does, you dont see gameplay till a few months before the game releases

sampsonon2066d ago

didn't you know? you can't question their choice not to show us because they are the mighty CDPR.
so shhhh, because their sheep will cry foul and tell you to get in line.

i hope the game is a glitchy mess when it releases. sometimes that what it takes to bring an arrogant company back down to earth.

Stanjara2066d ago

You are joking, right? You are the arrogant one.

Stanjara2066d ago

Showtime folks is right. Also, if you had reputation and privilege to attend the presentation of the demo behind closed doors, you wouldn't blow all that away by leaking some 10s footage. You wouldn't be dead as a game jurnalist, you would be murdered on the web as a person.

sampsonon2066d ago (Edited 2066d ago )

the point is the gameplay, if t's as good as they are saying, should be shown to the people that will be using their hard earned money to buy it.

we don't know when TLOU2 will be released yet sony had ND show a great game play trailer.
so a great showing by TLOU2 is being over shadowed by a private showing of Cyberpunk.

thanks ND for respecting your fan base enough to give us a taste of your game.
take my money.

CDPR is full of $hit.

Keeping my expectations on the ground with CB77. Don’t want to be overhyped.

Well they are using unreal engine now thanks to there work culture and horrific job on making cyberpunk so for the future no impact.

But it will be interesting to see what mods will be made

7 disagrees shows how many look at one dlc that had a rip off fight from ghost in the shell and goes wow what a goat team i love cdpr while ignoring that they only made 2 games that were good witcher 2/3 in 20yrs.

But its a new world we want a criminal that support's legal murder as president/support shoplifting love toxic work environments and have a mass casualty event every other day.

GhostMirror1d 6h ago

I’ll admit I didn’t play it at launch, but Cyberpunk 2077 is a really good game now.

And who the hell knows what you’re even going on about in your second paragraph here.

EazyC1d 17h ago

Wait a min...I swear to god CP2077's source code got leaked before. CDPR needs to stop using "password123" for all their accounts 😅

just_looken1d 7h ago

Na its hundreds ex employees no doubt just getting there revenge.

Profchaos1d 4h ago (Edited 1d 4h ago )

This is the same leak the threat actors have been trying to sell the source code after cd project didn't pay the ransom.

They didn't manage to sell the source code to any company largely because it would be unethical for say EA to buy it so the threat actors failed to find a buyer.

After they failed to make any money they went through with their threat of simply giving it away.

They will need to add everything they promised in the first one and not over promise on the second one.

just_looken1d 15h ago

They also need to drop esg then hire employees that have knowledge not hire them because they have a set of tits.

Official video they hired people to fill the esg clipboard

Hofstaderman1d 16h ago (Edited 1d 16h ago )

As somebody who has been playing the tabletop games since the 90s and was let down on launch by my PS4 version, you can bet I'm not going the preorder any sequel.

3rd person option, and everything else that was originally promised. Next don't force agenda driven naratives. Finally, release a finished product without need for day one patches.
