There's something about the freedom of playing an open world game that's hard to resist. Here's GameSpew's list of best open world games on PS4.
Former PlayStation Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida saw God of War as a "problem" when he first played it, and advocated for its delay.
And it became one of my most favorite games of all time and I still like it more than the sequel.
Well if a game/movie/project needs fixing, especially something with the legacy that god of war does. Delay and fix it, don’t ruin the legacy by releasing crap.
Way to go.

“A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad.”
Playstation - "Join us in celebrating God of War’s 20th anniversary by looking back at the incredible journey Kratos has taken throughout the last two decades.
On behalf of everyone at Santa Monica Studio, we’d like to thank all of the fans who have supported us over the years. You are the ones who have made it possible for God of War to reach this milestone and we’re more grateful than we can ever express that you’ve given us the chance to keep creating.

Thank you Mr. Jaffe. Few franchises stay relevant for 20 years. Thank you Stig, and Corey too
A new God of War title set featuring a side-story that is set in the Greek mythology is allegedly set for release later this year.
I feel any more adventures in Greece would just feel forced in, even Ascension felt shoehorned in when it released.
I think the only story they could really do is his journey North after the end of GoW 3, how he survived and in the end how he met Faye.
I don't trust the current developer to do anything with the Greek God of War. Hopefully, this is more of a spinoff, perhaps a third-party perspective on the events of that saga or something else entirely unrelated.
Is GoW really open world? It has one HUB and many close locations.
