It only took til the tail end of this gen to come out with something good. Ps4 remote is crap ps3 had all the multimedia angles down perfect hope they go back to that with ps5 because outside of strictly gaming ps4 isn't that good.

Father__Merrin2070d ago

ps3 was amazing as a multimedia machine. can u remeber the ps3 remote was really neat and high quality

Skankinruby2070d ago (Edited 2070d ago )

Yeah it was excellent, I still use my ps3 for everything else. The remote was great, the media support and file organization was so convenient. Fully custom wallpapers, full audio and video support you can install right into the drive, and the bluetooth remote was perfect, a little bulky but still amazing. Ps4 has undeniably great games and dualshock 4 is a huge improvement over the 3 but my goodness the user interface for the system is terrible.

Yeah, I do find it sad my PS3 can play many media formats my PS4 can't... and what is the point of making an HDR system if the media player doesn't play 4K HDR files?

rainslacker2070d ago (Edited 2070d ago )

I really liked the PS3 remote. I was disappointed it didn't work on the PS4. Was a pain using the controller so I still use my PS3 for media features, although I've moved most of that onto the TV for streaming services as its more convenient, and my UHD player for disc movies so its not really an important issue for me anymore.

The PS3 is still one of the best media players on the market IMO. It does more than any one device out there does, and still supports more formats than any other device that I know about.

“Outside of strictly gaming PS4 isn’t that good”

That’s a plus in my book.

The fact that the PS4 doesn't allow you to connect your own headset is sad.

My Gold Wireless headset had a USB dongle lol.

Ps3 also supports DLNA it was more then a gaming machine it did everything

Silly gameAr2070d ago

"It only does everything" wasn't just a pr line.

This is made by the same company that made the other PS4 universal remote. Why would you just assume this one is good?

NeoGamer2322069d ago

Yup, but what does this have to do with exclusive games?

The most important part of a console are its exclusives.

With a core trial of ps vue, I'm sold

Nodoze2070d ago

PDP makes this - AVOID. Their existing remote is AWFUL.

KickSpinFilter2070d ago

The existing one is great...once it "wakes" up!

dumahim2069d ago

Good god, it isn't great. It isn't even good. I could go on and on about all the issues I have with it, but it isn't worth my lunch break.

Sgt_Slaughter2070d ago

PDP is Pelican from those who remember that horrible company from the 00's

KickSpinFilter2069d ago

PS3 one was better, but I have no issues with this one except the long wake up time.

TMNT Arcade: Wrath of the Mutants review - Games Asylum

Games Asylum: "Well, this is neat. As the name suggests, Wrath of the Mutants is the rarest of things – a genuine arcade conversion. With most modern arcade games being ticket redemption machines, this is something seldom seen. In fact, the last arcade conversion we can recall was Raw Thrill’s own Cruis’n’ Blast on Switch back in 2021. This is also based on an older iteration of TMNT, harking back to the series from 2012-2017. It’s essentially breaking franchise continuity (we’ve had two different iterations of the Turtles since) and could even be considered nostalgic for a select few – those who grew up with 2012’s Turtles are probably in their late teens."
