Sony-owned Korea-based indie studio "Unties" has announced its PAX West game line-up along with some publishing deals.
Ummm, does indie mean something different now? Cause if Sony owns them, than aren't they no longer an indie studio?
Well the word "exclusive" changed so why not
That is true.. Exclusive for Microsoft means something entirely different now.. So does 4k.
Maybe they mean it was an indie team before sony acquired them? I don't know but it is quite the oxymoron
Hello, Pink... To answer your question; Indie refers to an independent studio regardless of the publisher. They're not owned by a publisher, even though they may be funded by one that also owns its own development studios. From now on we can laugh together at those that don't understand this truth. Note... If Sony owns a studio, I would not call them indie. Maybe previously indie, but once owned by Sony, it's a Sony studio.
Unties only publishes games to pc, nintendo systems and ps
Lmao all comments here are wrong, Unties is owned by Sony Music. Unties publishes games by indie studios not owned by Sony, which is why they are 'indie'. Because Unties is not owned by Sony Computer Entertainment, it therefore doesn't need to publish exclusive Playstation games.
Thanks for the explanation
