Tokyo Retro Store Offers 'Foreigner Discount'

Wired: "Last week, a classic games specialty shop in Tokyo's electronics district called Retro Game Camp hung up this helpful, badly translated notice for its vacationing customers. With the dollar dropping against the yen, shopping trips to Akihabara are becoming more expensive for tourists, but Retro Game Camp was hoping to encourage us to be a bit more loose with our retrogame buying with this 10% discount.

The sign said we'd have to present our identification for the discount, but I got it automatically. I guess they could somehow tell I wasn't Japanese. Of course, how did they know I wasn't a resident getting paid in yen?"
