What is the Resident Evil 2 remake’s secret mode?

In the latest issue of Japanese publication Famitsu, Resident Evil 2 director Kazunori Kadoi, team director Yasuhiro Ampo, and producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi provided a few more details about the return of the survival horror classic, including the a secret mode. Hirabayashi said, “Other than the already revealed The 4th Survivor and The Tofu Survivor, there is something I can’t talk about, but if I say it anyway, it’s something we made that can make subsequent playthroughs fun.”

The story is too old to be commented.

Forget Mercenaries. Push Ada to the back of your mind. Okay, ready? Akuma mode.

I was going the other way instead, thinking of a Classic mode with Tank control and fixed cameras.

Wouldn’t be too excited about that lol. That seems like a lot of extra work anyways to be honest. The cinematography that goes into fixed cameras is a lot less realistic than sticking a camera on Kennedy’s neck. FPS could be cool though, I would take that.

Of course it would take more work than an FPS mode, but would honor the roots of the franchise. Not everything is about realism... I mean, this is a game about zombies!

I mean realistic on the amount of work they would put in... The less work it would take to make a FPS is realistically in their budget... It’s not like they are starting from scratch either, they are using the RE7 engine.

I thought the same thing, Smokehouse.

I would like this because the option of first or third person could be used on all future games once they perfect it. I prefer third person but I liked RE7 as well. It’s still the only game I own on psvr lol.

Please be vr mode or I probably won't be buying it. Resi 7 in vr has ruined none be resi games for me.

i'd like to see mercenaries - those baddies with chainsaws were crazy scary - even better when you wouldn't see them but HEAR them cranking up the chainsaw......made the hair on the back of my neck stand up!
