The Original Xbox is an amazing piece of hardware and one of my favourite game consoles of all time. It was a massive powerhouse, and was home to many fan-favourite games and franchises. In recent years, people have left it behind as they’ve moved on to the Xbox 360 and then the Xbox One.
It was previously hinted that Xbox has stopped selling the physical disc of video games. Further proof of the gaming giant abandoning physical media has appeared as Cronos: The New Dawn will not be available on a physical disc for Xbox Series S|X.
Atp I'm not surprised I think nintendo will be the only ones due to consumers going to be physical media folks imo respect

So much for that games preservation team they set up
How can you go on about it games preservation but abandoned physical media
5 years and physical media exists only as special collector items. cds, dvds, blurays will be completely gone from the shelves. Sadly.
The rumored 2025 Xbox layoffs are expected to impact anywhere between 1000 to 2000 company employees, leading to studio closures.
I'm wondering if Compulsion Games is on the chopping block. They've always been a small studio and the only things they've developed under Xbox were We Happy Few and South of Midnight. Neither of them were heavy hitters and 7 years of development between the games. Also, Ninja Theory with Hellblade II not being as big as they wanted either. I hope I'm wrong. I feel like we just went through this when they closed studios last year.
From the mid-1980s to the early part of the 2000s, light gun rail shooters were a staple in both arcade and home system gaming. Arguably, the genre started to really hit its stride in the mid-1990s. While games like Time Crisis, Virtual Cop, and House of the Dead, among others, dominated both the home system and arcade space, some one relegated to only home game systems. Today, we’ll be talking about a little-known cult game published by Sony called Project: Horned Owl. This game was developed by Alfa Systems, and all in all, this is a fun game.
Actually just bought a modded xbox a couple months ago, mainly for the sega games, totally worth it
