At the end of the Earth is a total conversion mod for Crysis featuring new tech, shaders and more

...How is that “really cool”? Is that not taking someone else’s work, modifying it a bit, then releasing both the mod on top of original work for free along with taking credit for the work of another under the ruse that it’s somehow not the same product anymore?

It’s ironic that plagiarism is “Today’s Hottest” here right now yet things like this receive a blind eye when they’re both effectively the same thing at the end of the day.

Releasing mods, cool. I have no issue with that. However I do have an issue with the mod packaging in the game then attempting to rebrand the content where the actual developers will see zero return for their work.

Total conversions of games have been going on for years and no-one is claiming the underlying tech is theirs. Also they are do not/cannot charge for it (if the owners had issue with this they would shut it down), who would pay for Crysis now anyway? Anyway has anyone got a PC yet that can run Crysis?
