There's a New Avatar on the PSN Store That Costs $99.99

There has been a new premium avatar added to the PS4 PSN store and it costs a whopping $99.99. We're not sure if it's a mistake but it feels very arbitrary.

Probably a mistake but in todays world there are fools who would buy this signaling the world how bad they are at money management.

Oh and it should be called "A Fools Avatar".

rolando1232010d ago

I really hope it's a mistake or maybe it's some sort of marketing scheme.

AnubisG2010d ago

Could be real. In todays gaming world it wouldn't even surprise me one bit.

Wow $133.49 in Canada. There's also a diamond avatar selling for $26.99 called the Luxurious Life.

P_Bomb2010d ago

My first thought was it was some kind of charity thing. I’ve seen that before. Buy an avatar/theme for X and all proceeds go to Y.

UltraNova2009d ago

No way this is serious, who could be so dumb to green light this on PSN?

I mean. If it was extremely limited and only at that price. It wouldn't be a fools avatar when they can sell there account for alot more just based off that. You seem to forget how much people will value simple things.
Though I'm sure it was suppose to be 0.99 lol

AnubisG2010d ago

Would you buy an account for $100 just for an avatar? Really???

Teflon022009d ago

Did I say I would?

No. I said there are people who literally do that kind of stuff. Like... it's not hard to understand that right?

It's like people paying big bucks in MMO's for things that are limited and suck. It's about the value that's placed on the item. People were looking to spend money to get Noir Widowmaker on Overwatch because you couldn't get outside preorders. It's things like that. I'm not doing it. But you'd be a fool to think there is no value to getting those kinds of things. You think a PSN account that owns every digital game that's been removed from PSN would be valued more than one that doesn't but has easy to get titles? I can assure you having stuff like UMvC3 for Vita, PSP2 for PSP etc can create a value. I've had people randomly ask if i would sell a account. I've seen someone actually be stupid enough to trade a account for an account that had rare things that he wanted. It's situational. People need to THINK outside of there selves. Just because you think it's stupid doesn't mean someone won't do it. I think it's dumb but I've had my weird run ins already

Fallout Screw You First proves what you said is correct

Sokol2010d ago

Sounds like a very expensive mistake.

Probably was priced at 0.99$

rainslacker2010d ago (Edited 2010d ago )

Damn...wish I thought of that. Would take me longer to put it up on the Apple store than to actually program it. Six grand for 10 minutes of work. I could live with that.

Segata2010d ago

Yup I remember this lol

FullmetalRoyale2010d ago

I saw one that was a diamond, and it was outrageously priced as well.

rolando1232010d ago

Yup. I remember that one too

NoneYuh2010d ago

Could be for a charity too. They’ve done this with themes before.

franwex2010d ago

Worth more than the game, heh.

State of Anarchy: Master of Mayhem (PS4) Review | GamePitt

Rob Pitt writes: We’ve seen lots of different top-down shooters this generation, some good, some bad. The common mechanic/genre which a lot of developers love to mix with their top-down shmups is the bullet-hell genre – where you’ll spend most of your time ducking in and out of the bullets than actually concentrating on where you’re going or what you’re shooting at!

State of Anarchy: Master of Mayhem dials it back a little and delivers an original looking game which isn’t as intense as a lot of games out there, but also delivers a nice challenge which will last you a good few hours in order to platinum.
