Tempest 4000 Review | The PlayStation Brahs

The PlayStation Brahs:

“Back in 1981, there was a game called Tempest that had some revolutionary elements for its time. You could set your own starting level depending on your progress and it was one of the first games to have various level designs so that you were not playing the same levels over and over. It’s a game that at the time had a simple concept with simple graphics that was just fun to play either at the arcade or at home. You may even be familiar with Tempest 2000, Tempest 3000 or even TxK, but how is the new Tempest 4000 from Publisher Atari and Developer Llama Soft on PlayStation 4? Let’s check it out!”

People really do owe it to themselves to play the original Quake.
I first played 3, which was all multiplayer focused and I love it to this day.
Played 2, thought the campaign sucked, then never cared to play the original
When the original ended up on Gamepass I just gave it a shot and it's definitely one of the best shooters of the 90s, as far as I'm concerned.

I wonder if they are going to add QUAKE 2 and QUAKE 4 for current gen consoles on Thursday when QUAKECON starts?

MadLad999d ago

I'd hope so.
Like I said, wasn't a fan of Quake 2, but Quake 4 was one of my favorite shooters on 360.
I have it on PC, but it's one of those games you need to jump through hoops to get running properly on modern hardware.
It plays, but all the lighting and shadowing is gone, and the textures are basically nothing.

Some very good games in this sale!
