Mozilla's Firefox-like browser for mobile phones, code-named Fennec, has been released as a free alpha preview for Windows, Mac, and Linux systems (and Nokia N810 Internet Tablets). This version of Firefox can run on PS3 because it is highly optimized to be resource efficient. The ball is in Sony's court now.

Sony needs to work with Mozilla to get Firefox working on the PS3. Once that happens, there will be no need for any other browsing environment.
