Consoles have their advantages (mainly exclusives), but if you want the absolute best looking games and the smoothest performance, then PC gaming is the way to go.

what you need ?, 400 bucks or less for a PS4 or a xbox one all games mentioned are 90 % in current consoles and if you go and look the comparison almost all are identical to the PC counterpart, the only game you won't find is Arma 3, not the big deal imo. ;)

Still if you have almost $1500 dlls to spare you can play those in the highest settings ultra 4k powa baby!!!! :D

"400 bucks or less for a PS4 or a xbox one"

It depends on the PC, but the vast majority of gaming PCs are going to look and, more importantly, perform MUCH better than the base PS4 or Xbox One. If you want a console to rival a mid-grade PC then you have to spend $500 for the One X. You'll save a couple hundred from buying a PC that will still have better frame rates due to the superior CPU.

Performance is irrelevant to the context of this discussion.

This is a discussion about looks. As of this moment, most of the games referred to in the article are playable with scaled up 4K in consoles. And furthermore to the context of the discussion, those scaled up resolutions are identical to native 4K to the naked eye.

So please, refrain from adding conception made by yourself and stay on topic. Thank you.

@AcidDvl

lol....read the article. And why are you even talking about consoles if you are so anal about staying on-topic. The article is only discussing PCs. You are confused.

AcidDvl2095d ago

@Razzer

You were literally the one who single out the console quote.

Please keep some consistency.

Razzer2095d ago

You mean the quote that shows you are consistently wrong? lol

If you want to play them - sure. But they are not "almost identical", sometimes there is huge difference but to see it you must play both, watching videos is not enough.

Razzer2095d ago

Most of my PC gaming is at 4K 60 fps, but never at Ultra settings. If I was looking at a still picture the entire time then those ultra settings might be meaningful. When was playing Far Cry 5 I damn sure didn't miss that extra foliage or slightly sharper rock sitting on the ground. But I definitely appreciated the 60 FPS all game.

AcidDvl2095d ago

Once again, performance isn't mentioned once in the context of the discussion. Completely irrelevant.

Razzer2095d ago (Edited 2095d ago )

Bullshit. From the article:

“in this post I’ll list the best looking PC games and which graphics cards you need to run them at every resolution with the highest (or highest possible) settings and get the buttery smooth 60 FPS experience. ”

And I’ll add whatever relevant points to the discussion as I see fit regardless.

AcidDvl2095d ago

"And I’ll add whatever relevant points to the discussion as I see fit regardless."

Sure, let's keep adding topics to the discussion and move further away from the initial discussion. Because that's clearly the way to discuss a topic.

Get a grip son.

Razzer2095d ago (Edited 2095d ago )

I’m not the one who is completely confused “son”. That is all you.

Now what part of that quote don’t you understand? I’m going to try and make this clear to you, but I’m not hopeful.

matt1392095d ago

Ultra settings are not really needed as there usually is not a very noticeable difference between High and Ultra.

Razzer2095d ago

Yep. You would have to zoom in on select areas like DF does to really notice major differences. And frankly, the same is true of full 4K. I scale down as needed to get 60 FPS.

Just Bought it Thank you after checking reviews alot people enjoyed it Worth Picking up for that Price.

Spenok5d ago

I already own the physical copy on PS4, and even bought it on Steam for my Steamdeck... but I went ahead and bought this as well. Because, why not?

Aussiesummer4d ago

If you just like wasting money sure.

Spenok4d ago

It's not wasting money, it's me supporting the developer, in hopes it helps them in the long run to continue making amazing games.

This one was certainly not a needed purchase. As for the Steam copy, I wanted to be able to take the game on the go, and it was on a good deal besides.

thesoftware7305d ago

Yeah, good price, saw this yesterday on SX as well
