H'aanit is a fun character for combat but she and everyone in her village are headache inducing. Like the article says it's very Shakespearean when they speak but they overdo it and either really drag out the speaking with over-explanation or just the way they are speaking makes it feel incredibly long.

Loving the game though. My only gripes would be that cutscene dialogue should have an option to auto continue I want to sit back, put my controller down and enjoy the cutscenes and 90% less combat chatter from characters. I can't stand hearing H'aanit saying any other button click "striketh truth my boweth" or whatever she says, I could guess other characters are just as repetitive.

I chose the Knight because I played him during both demos and figured he was muscle to help the other characters (as you still play through all 8 of them). His story is really good and it has been a rewarding game through and through so far. I am around 55hrs at level 50 for 4 characters (Knight, Merch, Thief and Scholar) with the map open but about 80% of most of the areas explores (minus harder areas I haven't went back to and story driven locked areas). I have all 8 Chapter Ones does and these 4 character's up though their Chapter 3s. I havent finished any of their stories. This is a content heavy game that is easy to digest but super rewarding. After I finish all 4 stories, I will swap out 2 of them and work their chapters, then 2 more after that. I figured this is a good way to extend the game without bouncing around too much and I'll have some power going in to battles and get their levels up fast. I haven't went after any secret jobs or skills and I have kept myself spoiler free of any (final content, areas, enemies, etc). This is my GOTY so far and I think it's just as amazing as GOW. Squaresoft lives!
