NZGamer: Buzz! Junior Ace Racers Review

For adults, Ace Racers was surprisingly playable (for half an hour or so) mainly because it was refreshingly enjoyable to play a game that required only one hand (now you can drink and play games at the same time!). But the voice-overs that occur with every activity grow quickly tiresome and border on being manically repetitive. Even the sexy sounding Suzy Sprint (the narrator of Ace Racers) is irritating after only a short while. But for kids aged around 10 years old who enjoyed Buzz! Junior RoboJam et al, then this game should prove entertaining, especially for a small group of 3 – 4 kids.

I made 200 useless questions, myself. Just 25 sets of 8 questions (junk) for the silver trophy (and it was my final needed to platinum Buzzz). I imagine a HUGE number of the questions are similarly worthless.

Square-Go: Buzz! Junior: Ace Racers Review

Square-Go:

"There are thirty circuits to choose from and they all rock. When the scores are added up at the end of the round the you take up your position on the winners' podium, which shows clearly who came in first … and last. This game is a great way to get the family together and have a laugh. Mind you, when I played this game with my mum, I destroyed her, showing her that kids are just as good as adults at things. I would rate this game 8 out of 10 but then again, that's a kid's opinion, so I'm not sure about adults."

PALGN: Buzz! Junior: Ace Racers Review

While a competent multiplayer game for children, if you're an adult or have a child/younger sibling who intends to play this alone, there really isn't a lot that will keep you occupied for long. Other than that, Buzz! Jr.: Ace Racers is a decent game for sleepovers and birthday parties.
