Resident Evil has a bright future ahead of it

Shame same can’t be said for Silent Hill

I'd figure they would use the Gamecube version as the basis to remake because it was already a very good remaster of the PS1 original.

This RE2 remake is nothing like they GCN version. Everything is being built from the ground up.

It’s nothing like how the RE1 remaster on current consoles is based on the GCN remake of RE1.

After playing Edge of Nowhere I fully agree.

The Resident Evil 2 Gameplay we have seen basically looks and seems to play just like Resident Evil 7 but in third person so it would be pretty easy I believe to do this in VR first person. It would be really cool if they can lock it in somehow and do VR third person.

There is something about the re engine that I really like. It's gritty and detail but it doesn't have that clay look of the Unreal Engine. I also really like that it feels thicker and more full and its textures than frostbite. I think it's just a really good engine

"that’s really silly"

Sure didn't stop them with the over the top shit they did in the future games like Operation Raccoon City, Umbrella Corps, Resident Evil 5, Resident Evil 6, Revelations and so on.

This game seems like its going to be a major come back. It looks amazing and its coming in January which is a lot sooner than most of the game announcements at E3. Im sure it will sell well too since RE7 did so good. That way Capcom will be encouraged to remake part 3. As long as the game has plenty of content and they dont try milking people with DLC, Capcom will be making a lot of money from me again. Monster Hunter was fantastic. RE7, Street Fighter collection/SFV arcade, Mega Man X collection, Mega Man 11, & this.
