Tempest 4000’s time-tested gameplay still rings true, but some of the visual and design elements in this release add some unintended challenge.
Daily Video Game writes: "Today, Xbox Store has just kicked off three new digital game sales titled Ubisoft Publisher Sale, QuakeCon Sale, and Publisher Spotlight Series Sale that steeply discount on Bethesda, Ubisoft, as well as several good games from other publishers right now!"
People really do owe it to themselves to play the original Quake.
I first played 3, which was all multiplayer focused and I love it to this day.
Played 2, thought the campaign sucked, then never cared to play the original
When the original ended up on Gamepass I just gave it a shot and it's definitely one of the best shooters of the 90s, as far as I'm concerned.
Tempest 4000 is a blisteringly difficult but highly satisfying sensory extravaganza.
Tempest 4000 comes to the Nintendo Switch after being out on other consoles for four years. The portability, reduced price, and shiny OLED graphics make for an excellent experience, and the best place to enjoy this retro title.
i love the Tempest games, even 3000 on the little known Nuon system.
I really love Tempest. I'll be getting this one tonight. I don't care what the reviews say. It's Tempest. Did they expect it to be something else? I feel bloody old though. I was 10 when the original came out in the Arcades. It was a brilliant game then and it still a brilliant game now (the original). I can't wait to get into this update.
i an getting it too
