Native 4k on the X. Sweet

Indeed, from a pure hardware perspective and that too at a lower price point, Xbox One X is a steal. It's great to see so many games hitting native 4K on the console.

Before i saw this was a Burnout type game... with a name like "Danger Zone" I had visions of it being a top gun inspired dog fighting game.

I am not one to pick on you xbox guys, well not since wooly left but, do you think this game is atleast [email protected] settings. Ofc it is better than the PS versions. Still looks great in any case.

The fact it hits 60 fps at 1080p on the X only is a plus though, for that system at least. I can't understand why it doesn't hit that on the Pro though.

darthv7297d ago

That does seem like an odd omission. Maybe it will after a bit more optimization.

lxeasy97d ago

Probably cause the X is more powerful system then the pro

TheCommentator97d ago

Logically, the 1X hits Native 4K/30 and 1080P/60. Since the Pro does checkerboard 4K/30 it would need to do checkerboard 1080p/60. It's not powerful enough to handle what the devs are putting into their game at native 1080p/60 which is why it doesn't have it.

EverydayGuy97d ago

4.2 tf should be plenty for 1080p. Maybe cpu or optimization holding it back.

GPU power gap is the whole output of a PS4's GPU, so maybe the added overhead @ 1080p let them hit 60fps? Also the CPU is faster on X so that could be another reason

It is odd they couldn't get 60 FPS on Pro at 1080. But this wouldn't be the first time we would see oddities from developers like this. Oh what it is.
