There are lots to play. Nioh, Nier, God of War, Resident Evil 7, Pillars of Eternity II, Kingdom Come Deliverance, Detroit, Divinity: Original Sin 2, X-COM 2, Donkey Kong Freeze.

Razzer2205d ago

Divinity: Original Sin 2 is so good.

joab7772205d ago

Great choices. I’d say Nioh for sure...so good and my Game of 2017. LOVED D:OS too! Really wanna play PoE but new job has me limited on time.

I’m actually picking at Prey now and I am soooo surprised at how great it is. If you loved Bioshock, you HAVE to play Prey. Plus it just released one of the best dlcs ever made for a game.

I agree, Prey was criminally underrated by reviewers in my opinion. It has cool weapons and abilities, lots of secrets that are worth finding, and a good story. There were some issues at launch, specifically having no dead zones in the sticks, and major input lag, but those are sorted out now.

I have no idea what I'm going to play next. Just finished up a replay of Bioshock 2. I can't make up my mind because I have so much in my back log dating back a couple years now. Thinking a shorter game to scratch it off the list.

Late to the party but Hellblade: Senuas Sacrifice is incredible, and I don't really like Ninja Theory that much.

bigmalky2205d ago

It's not that long though. It's about lasting games.

SCW19822205d ago (Edited 2205d ago )

Length shouldn't have anything to do with how good or bad a game is. Vanquish is 7 hours and its a masterpiece.

Christopher2205d ago

@SCW1982: The article itself is about 'getting through the summer' though, which means longer games that will last you. That's what @bigmalky is trying to tell you.

bigmalky2205d ago

What Christopher said. The article is about games to keep you going for a while.

Playing Dark Souls for the first time during a vacation > everything other game

edeprez2205d ago

They are some incredible games. Make sure to play both sequels too, and most importantly Bloodborne.

Razzer2205d ago (Edited 2205d ago )

Just finished Far Cry 5. It was ok. Wished I had waited for it to be a bit cheaper. Trying to finish Fallout 3 now.

Yeah....I know. I know.

TheGoodestBoi2205d ago (Edited 2205d ago )

Basically my backlog and then some. And I keep buying the new shit that releases 🤦‍♂️

PoE: Deadfire, Unless you have a or PS5 or an SSD don't bother, loading times are insane. A minute and a half to go into a room to investigate a desk in an inn and then an additional 1 1/2 minutes to leave the room and then load to leave the inn???

And they never fixed it.
