Modder ‘Starac/Ancient’ has released a new version of his graphics/texture overhaul mod for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. This new version adds some new 2K/4K textures, though the modder did not specify which are the new textures that have been added.

Only so much you can do without improving the engine to handle higher poly-count models.
Higher resolution textures without the models to match can actually look worse imo.
it actually amazes me what people are capable of. That's perhaps one of the single greatest aspects of open world games, where people really do put blood, sweat, and tears into making something beautiful. There were moments when I played my modded skyrim (seems like ages ago) where I was just taken back by how jaw-droppingly gorgeous everything was.
It is exciting to know that as games get prettier and more geometrically advanced, there are generally two people who launch two very different visions of the vanilla experience: one goes right for the nude mod, the other goes for that Perfect Water Ripple Effect upon entering a lake at sundown.
