Code Vein Delayed to 2019 to "Exceed Expectations" of the Fans

Exactly, going against BFV, Spiderman, RDR2 and CoD is something more than suicide no matter how different/niche your game is. Glad it got delayed.

It's not even just those, even other niche games are getting piled into the same release window. Dragon Quest 11, Valkyria Chronicles 4, Yakuza Kiwami 2, etc. You even missed some other big titles like Tomb Raider and Assassins Creed Odyssey.

MEANWHILE this month and next have Octopath Traveler and... that's it.

Nice, hope its a "good" delay though. All the footage I've seen, the framerate needs work and polish. Reallllllly been looking forward to this game so hope they stay true to those words. And try to avoid releasing close to kh3 too lol.

I call bs. They weren't expecting so much attention on the game, so decided to fix a number of flaws. No matter how many games launch in the same window the best games will always sell and be on top. After watching the full gameplay demo I cam see why its delayed till next yr. Just dont release it in Feb because that's when another batch of great games release. Unless of course your confident your game can hold its own.

Remember Titanfall 2? Released between CoD and Battlefield? Was better than both? How did those sales do?

Though titanfall 2 got decent reviews it could not get out of the shadow of the failed original titanfall. Also there was tons of games released that month that year. Gears 4 and mafia 3 sold well. There was also various VR games like until dawn and eve Valkerie all of which sold well. It’s a risk to release your game among many others but like I said if the game is solid it will sell. Titanfall May have improved on the original but it was too late people lost interest.

Having played on the Standard PS4 and PS4 pro i really hope they fix the performance on the standard PS4 because the demo run bellow 30fps most of the time,on the other side on the PS4 pro it run between 50-60fps at 1080p the diference is like night and day very enjoyable on the PS4 pro but a crap on Standard PS4.
