WC: "Can we finally talk about how lame Arkham Asylum's plot was?"
I love all the Arkham games. I still can’t believe they still haven’t announce a new game yet.
Probably because those superman rumors are in the works.. If not, rocksteady is working on something thats gonna kick some a$$ just the same
Origins > City Good list, btw. Agree very much with each point.
Agree. Origins had a better feel because you weren't batman yet, you were just a vigilante.
Whatculture? Aren’t they the wrasslin guys?
They talk about everything and they don't know anything
I think this list is on 10 pages, no thanks.
Here's the list spread across 10 pages : 10. Arkham Origins Is Just As Good As The Main Trilogy 9. Multiple Playable Characters Were Underused 8. Character Designs Are Sort Of Lame 7. Stealth Is Pretty Bad (Especially In The Sequels) 6. Riddler Challenges Are More Effort Than They're Worth 5. Side Missions Are More Interesting Than The Main Plot 4. The Dedicated Levels Are Better Than The Open World 3. The Tank Combat Wasn't THAT Bad 2. Trading Gothic Sensibilities For Sci-Fi Was A Terrible Move 1. The Story For Arkham Asylum Isn't That Great
The hero N4g deserves.
Some websites just want to watch the world burn.
Thanks. Sites that pull that shit don't deserve a click.
i stopped buying after the first one ;-)
Origins is my favorite in the entire series. The Batmobile was amazing in Arkham Knight. It just sucked that 80% of the campaign took part in it. Dual-play should have had a much larger role.
"It just sucked that 80% of the campaign took part in it." This isn't remotely true.
No, the plots for Arkham are great.
This is a very strange article. It shoehorns in some odd choices and then highlights some of its best aspects as things we don’t want to admit. It doesn’t really make sense. No, the games weren’t perfect, but I liked the riddler trophies, though most designs were fine, and am often happy when side quests are even better than the main story.
Apparently they're exactly like Spider-Man.
Origins had the best story of them all.
I thought Batman Arkham Knight wasn't that great, Rocksteady dropped the ball on that game, with the Batmobile forced and the boss battles were terrible, like fighting Deathstroke in a tank battle.
"10 Things whatculture.com Is Under the Delusion of Believing that Nobody Wants To Admit About The Batman: Arkham Series" Fixed title
10. Arkham Origins Is Just As Good As The Main Trilogy -It was in story and the feel of Gotham/the characters. I think they did a decent job emulating the rest of the series. 9. Multiple Playable Characters Were Underused -Totally agree, at least make the other characters free roam-able after the story. I would have absolutely LOVED that. Not to mention, it would have been cool to free roam WITH another AI character (or Online Co-Op) like they did in the AK DLC with Robin/Batgirl 8. Character Designs Are Sort Of Lame -Um....what? The First Arkham games design was amazing. it took a page from the comic AND the animated series and mixed the 2 very well. 7. Stealth Is Pretty Bad (Especially In The Sequels) -Stealth Play was on point. You aren't Snake, you're Batman. You can take out a room full of thugs efficiently with them knowing you're there. 6. Riddler Challenges Are More Effort Than They're Worth -From someone that Platinum Titled all games in the series, this I will agree with. 5. Side Missions Are More Interesting Than The Main Plot -Agreed...It's what makes a good game, balance. 4. The Dedicated Levels Are Better Than The Open World 3. The Tank Combat Wasn't THAT Bad 2. Trading Gothic Sensibilities For Sci-Fi Was A Terrible Move 1. The Story For Arkham Asylum Isn't That Great -Joker gets admitted to Arkham and sets EVERYONE free. You're Batman, enclosed in an asylum with all of your greatest foes on the loose, how is that NOT an incredible story? To top it off Paul Dini, Mark Hamill, and Kevin Conroy ALL return their reprising roles.
