Kirk McKeand of VG247 writes: Here’s the thing, though – Ubisoft is the master at salvaging games. I’m putting it in writing: The Crew 2 will be an incredible racer in a year’s time. It’s just not there right now, and it’s a shame. It’s full of potential, packed with a dizzying amount of variety, and you can’t help but be impressed by the massive world you inhabit. Unfortunately, The Crew 2 is just too inconsistent to fully recommend.
Despite being six years old, The Crew 2 has smashed its concurrent Steam player count record thanks to a steep discount.
The thing was a damn buck lol. Of course. I grabbed it on both PC and console because why not?
Ubisoft revealed that they will add official Offline Modes to both The Crew 2 and The Crew Motorfest.
Welp, just grabbed Crew 2 because, hell, it was a buck. Let's see if they hold to their word, being they killed the original and are likely to do it here as well.
Finally! Offline modes for The Crew 2 and The Crew Motorfest—this is huge! Ubisoft really listened to the community on this one. Now we can enjoy the open-world racing experience without worrying about server issues or internet connection drops. Can’t wait to hit the roads solo and explore at my own pace. This is a game-changer for both casual players and those who just want to cruise without distractions!
We've played The Crew Motorfest, which joins Forza Horizon in the modern open-world racing genre - and that's not the only similarity.
FH is not on PS so im sure theres people out there happy seeing this.
I really enjoy the game, it is what I wanted.
The cut scenes don't match the fun gameplay, and are poorly written.
I played the beta and for me the sense of speed just isn't there... especially the boats seem to be so slow...killed it for me kinda..
