Bethesda on Switch "we'll certainly be doing more things there"

They're not exploring Fallout 4 on Switch right now though.

Great to see they are trying. Still dont know why GTA5 is not ported to switch.

AgeInTheCage2510d ago

Because nintendo has a long history of treating 3rd party studios like trash, switch is underpowered to run huge open world games like gta v, just because 360 and ps3 can run it dont mean switch can. switch is a handheld that can be played on a tv, 360, wiii u, ps3 are dedicated home consoles.

rivaldoo7772510d ago

But would be nice to have it tho. They got no games lol so they need sonething

Biunpe052510d ago

What??!!?? Do you even read what you type? If the weak ass 360 can run GTAV then the Switch will have no prob whatsoever.

Athos2510d ago

@Age

You do know the WiiU was more powerful than the 360 and PS3 right? Also the Switch is more powerful than the WiiU so do the math... it would have no problem running it at all. Zero, non, nada.

Outlawzz2510d ago

Takes up too much space. It could run it no problem but can gta be compressed enough to fit in the small cartridge space ? Most likely not . It would probly require a pretty big download just like 2k probably more. Maybe rockstar will make it happen if there's enough demand or potential there

DankSinatra2510d ago (Edited 2510d ago )

It was compressed enough to fit on the Xbox 360 disc which has less space on it than the sswitch cartridge which can hold more than a standard PS3 blueray disc (360 disc= 9Gb Vs Switch Cartridge= 1-32Gb, then you have the larger switch cartridge that's supposed to release sometime later with a 64Gb capacity) so I don't see how it can't fit.

@StonieWylder
Really now ?? Well I never knew the difference between PS3 and Xbox space was so much I thought it was similar to PS3. Well then if that's the case, I retract my previous comment, maybe it's in the works who knows lol

We may get a GTA game made like china town wars for Switch or a ported version of GTA6 whenever that releases like 3 years from now.

Fallout 4 on Switch 2 seems inevitable, but what about Starfield?

A Fallout 4 Nintendo Switch 2 port seems like an inevitability, but what about other Bethesda RPGs like Starfield.

I think all games will end up on switch from Xbox. MS has embraced going to other platforms now if games aren't doing well on Nintendo MS may be more selective in the future

On playstation they have been quite successful

anast35d ago

I'm not sure too many people want to play Starfield.

Profchaos35d ago

Phils all but confirmed they are going in hard with the switch 2

TheColbertinator35d ago

All are welcome to Switch 2. Microsoft Games Studios is interested in long term profits and market value not petty fanboy thoughts.

Starfield is actually a RPG. Bethesda hasn't done that in a while.

GhostScholar137d ago

People acted like starfield was so less interesting than fallout and drastically different, but I call bs on that. Both are decent games, but they are both filled with the appearance of things to do and items to interact with but 99 percent are just there to be there with no significance. Fallout has better character work but they are both sort of illusions that they’re vast.

Studio has been going downhill since Skyrim. Every following game gets dumbed down more than the previous. I'll be shocked if Elder Scrolls VI even has dialogue options.

anast136d ago

Fallout 4 was bad, real bad. Starfield might even be a better RPG.

trez1082136d ago

Fallout 4 wasn’t a great fallout game per se but real bad? I don’t know maybe I’m a little biased because I replied it not long ago and had fun with it.
