Cyberpunk 2077 E3 2018 Demo Was Shown In 1080p; Team Confident To Get Good Performance In Final Game

The Cyberpunk 2077 E3 2018 demo was shown in 1080p and not 4K, as some have been wondering.

Loved the trailer at Xbox e3 showing and was like damn this could be ace to play.

BiggerBoss2127d ago

Yeah that cinematic trailer with no gameplay would be ace to play!

Fishy Fingers2127d ago

I liked where shit on his enthusiasm for a game just to be an arse.

BiggerBoss2127d ago (Edited 2127d ago )

@fishy fingers

If you wanna repost that comment in actual English, then I would be happy to reply.

starchild2127d ago

It's funny how upset some of you are that many gamers are excited for Cyberpunk 2077. I don't remember all this negativity and skepticism when the cinematic trailer of The Last of Us Part 2 was shown at PSX 2016.

He was clearly talking about playing the game not the trailer. That didn't need to be spelled out. And your snarky comment wasn't necessary.

BiggerBoss2127d ago

@starchild

What does this game have ANYTHING to do with the Last of Us?? Like wtf??

I loved the Witcher 3, and love CDPR, but that doesn't mean that I'm about to get super hyped by a trailer that showed ZERO gameplay.

If you're a fanboy, then that's fine, but I want to actually know what the game looks like.

starchild2127d ago

@BiggerBoss

The Last of Us 2 was just an example. There are plenty of other examples of that kind of hypocrisy.

You tease the guy above for being excited to play Cyberpunk 2077, but, again, where was this attitude after The Last of Us 2's first two cinematic trailers?

http://n4g.com/news/2118008...
One glance at the comments for those cinematic trailers shows that N4G users were flipping out and hyping the game to the extreme. Which is fine. I was hyped for the game too. But why is it ok for people to get super excited about some games after only seeing cinematic trailers yet nobody is allowed to express excitement for Cyberpunk 2077 without being criticized by people like you?

And of course everyone would like to see gameplay. But CDPR will show it when they're ready and we simply have to wait until then. Just as we had to wait from December 2016 when the first cinematic trailer of The Last of Us 2 came out until June 2018 when the first gameplay was shown. Even 10 months later at Paris Games Week 2017 we only got another cinematic trailer. All the while people were discussing the game and expressing their excitement for it. Nothing wrong with people doing the same regarding Cyberpunk 2077.

RememberThe3572127d ago

He wants to play in the snow showed us. Jesus, this site is full of asshole morons. And Fishy missed one word, figure it out.

b163o12127d ago (Edited 2127d ago )

@FF and BiggerBoss

In my best announcer voice "MORTAL KOMBAT"

OT: The hype is justified, I mean I wanted 5yrs for the trailer, but i understand the skepticism. It was basically another announcement trailer. I was hyped but after a hour or so I came down, we're still going to have to wait to see any actual gameplay. I see CDPR going the R* route releasing on both Current and next gen consoles...

BiggerBoss2127d ago

You guys might think the "hype is justified" just because CDPR is a good dev, but not me.

ME1-3 were great, but Andromeda was terrible.

I have hope in CDPR, but I'm not going to just ASSUME that their next game is incredible, despite seeing ANYTHING from the actual game.

Is this really what gaming has come to?

b163o12127d ago

@BiggerBoss

WTH does MassEffect have to do with this conversation? I believe the reason Andromeda was terrible was there main core of developers left the company....

Ausbo2127d ago

I hope they show this demo at gamescom. With the great impressions so far, it can’t hurt to show it to the public

BiggerBoss2127d ago

You literally just posted this and you have a disagree. I guess that guy doesn't want to actually see gameplay??😂

Ausbo2127d ago

It’s N4G. Nothing surprises me

Skuletor2127d ago

Could be one of the people that are still upset it's only first person.

riibhu2127d ago

Actually they've confirmed that they will show the same demo at gamescom. Whether it will be public or not that is just pure speculation at this point though.

BiggerBoss2127d ago

It would be complete BS if they don't show gameplay to their fans at gamescom.

They can impress "journalists" all they want, but gamers are the people buying the game.

SHOW them the game that they're buying!!

Skuletor2127d ago

They used a PC with an i7, 32GB of ram and a GTX 1080Ti and still played at 1080p? Damn.

thekhurg2127d ago

Early build ... un-optimized, wanted that solid 60fps for the presentation. Yeah, it was a good idea.

MrSec842127d ago

The Digital Foundry guys tested footage and their analysis shows it was running at 30FPS, stable but not 60FPS.

Perhaps the CDPR comment refers to the behind closed doors demo, which a developer was actually interacting with and that was running at 1080p.

thekhurg2126d ago

@MrSec84

How did they test footage that wasn't given away for analysis, and wasn't filmed for review?

Or are you talking about the cinematic trailer that everyone saw?

medman2127d ago (Edited 2127d ago )

Seems ridiculous to me, especially considering all the "eyewitness" testimony seemed to indicate it was 4k 30fps....wtf. Shenanigans.

I say again, shenanigans.

These people are not to be trusted.

3-4-52127d ago

They showed a Pre-Alpha demo that they polished up that one specific part to make it look ready.

The game isn't releasing until 2020/21.

RememberThe3572127d ago (Edited 2127d ago )

It's good to see all the hype about the demo though. These guys are craftsmen so I say let them take their time and make it right.

BiggerBoss2127d ago

I don't want hype, I want an actual playable game.

If this BS is coming in 2020, then spend your money developing it instead of hyping it.

If it's coming in 2019, then show us actual GAMEPLAY and a reason to BUY it, instead of hyping it to the moon.

Do I really need to say this? I know gaming fanboys are bad, but this is unreal...

Well they are using unreal engine now thanks to there work culture and horrific job on making cyberpunk so for the future no impact.

But it will be interesting to see what mods will be made

just_looken4d ago

7 disagrees shows how many look at one dlc that had a rip off fight from ghost in the shell and goes wow what a goat team i love cdpr while ignoring that they only made 2 games that were good witcher 2/3 in 20yrs.

But its a new world we want a criminal that support's legal murder as president/support shoplifting love toxic work environments and have a mass casualty event every other day.

GhostMirror4d ago

I’ll admit I didn’t play it at launch, but Cyberpunk 2077 is a really good game now.

And who the hell knows what you’re even going on about in your second paragraph here.

EazyC4d ago

Wait a min...I swear to god CP2077's source code got leaked before. CDPR needs to stop using "password123" for all their accounts 😅

just_looken4d ago

Na its hundreds ex employees no doubt just getting there revenge.

Profchaos4d ago (Edited 4d ago )

This is the same leak the threat actors have been trying to sell the source code after cd project didn't pay the ransom.

They didn't manage to sell the source code to any company largely because it would be unethical for say EA to buy it so the threat actors failed to find a buyer.

After they failed to make any money they went through with their threat of simply giving it away.

They will need to add everything they promised in the first one and not over promise on the second one.

just_looken4d ago

They also need to drop esg then hire employees that have knowledge not hire them because they have a set of tits.

Official video they hired people to fill the esg clipboard

Hofstaderman4d ago (Edited 4d ago )

As somebody who has been playing the tabletop games since the 90s and was let down on launch by my PS4 version, you can bet I'm not going the preorder any sequel.

3rd person option, and everything else that was originally promised. Next don't force agenda driven naratives. Finally, release a finished product without need for day one patches.
