Xbox Game Pass members can look forward to Wahammer: Vermintide 2, DiRT 4, Zombie Army Trilogy, Human Fall Flat, Bomber Crew, Abzu, Shadow Complex Remastered, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, and Fallout 3 all coming to Xbox Game Pass this July.
nice month !!! waiting for fallout 4 ..
Fallout 4 already avaliable
Curious to try Abzu, Shadow Complex, Vermintide II, and Bomber Crew. Awesome month for anyone who hasn't played Fallout or Oblivion.
Fallout & Oblivion are great. Dated & it might be a little cumbersome to play but at the time they were great. Stick to them and you should have a good time. Shadow Complex was a cool little metroidvania game. Strider was better to me though
Awesome additions. Vermintide 2 is a fantastic game to have on there for co-op and such
Sounds like a fine list! Wish we'd hear a date on Master Chief Collection though....
I see they're starting to raise the quality of available titles, This service will likely be amazing when nex gen launches especially if they keep 1st party titles Day1 on it. Imagine all these recently acquired studios, all dropping a launch title, that would be awesome. And if they tossed in a free month as well it would simply be icing.
So much value. My Gamepass is payed up till 2020. Bought 3 6-months subscription when MS dropped the price to $29 during E3. Between this, EA access and Games with Gold I got over 300 games to play this generation. Yet I've only bought a handful of full priced $60 games since getting my og XB1 in 2013.
Too sad this is not helping Xbox at all. Even Nintendo is selling better without any of these things.
Huh? So giving money to Xbox isn't helping Xbox? That some next level math ish right there.
MS created a service that wouldn't help them? I wonder how they became a multi billion dollar world wide company with this type of attitude? This really has me worried, especially when I rent three or four games from the service to play.
How do you think they’re able to make all these studio acquisitions? From what I’ve heard Game Pass is generating a huge amount of revenue for xbox
I believe King_Lothric is referring to MS still not being able to move more consoles with all these 'attractions'... their market share remains 10-15% with both Sony and Nintendo retaining their 45-50% and 35-40% respectively. MS being continuing selling 1/3rd of hardware than their main competition Sony remains intact. Moreover, MS gave out their profits of 2.25billion$ (thanks to Vasto for the update) from the xbox division in the first quarter 2018, that raised from 1.6billion$ from previous quarter that could very much be 'gamepass' OR '1X' impact, only MS can say. ....... But, Sony made 18billion$ in the last fiscal year due to major software + 19 million PS4s sold, and if you divide it by 4, Sony ends up with 4.5billion$ "average" in first quarter 2018... that "average" is TWICE the highest quarterly profit of xb1... so yeah, whatever '1up' MS got with either game pass or 1X hardware is only leveraging them a little... highest quality 'new software' and especially '1st party' has its perks still unmatched... game pass or whateva'!!! ;)
@chiefJohn117 - The OP means it's not helping Xbox in terms of the console sales as they are constantly third behind both the PS4 and the Switch. So adding new things like this isn't helping the brand as a whole in shifting more units and getting new consumers. @SarkyPlays - 'Revenue' being the key word and not profit. Lets take an example. Let's say there are about 300k paying gamepass subscribers - that would be about 3m dollars a month in revenue (I thought it was 12.99 a month, but it's only 10). Sounds a lot. But then you have to factor in that the income from the gamepass will be split internally between all of the companies who are part of the service (which is probably why MS have all their first party games in it now, so they can try and acquire more of a percentage whilst also seeming fair). So the Xbox division will probably get about 5-10% of the revenue and MS Studios will get a portion according to how many games they have in the service. When you look at it like that, as apposed to say Sony who SOLD 3million copies of God of War within a few days at 50-60 dollars each (about 150-180million dollars) - which is just for Sony and Santa Monica Studios (owned by Sony), then it's a big difference.
@rob-GP Man, that is quite the truth^^^... Also read my comment just above yours, actually VASTO here gave me quite the links to ponder how Sony single-handedly earned DOUBLE the xb1 profits in the latest quarter alone, and based upon PlayStation profits alone... just because of software prowess and without needing any of such 'services'... industry standard, new and highest quality exclusives have just NO EQUAL :)
@bhai, Rob You guys would be mistaken to think that even if Xbox is in third it's not still successful. Yes, they are loosing to PS4 and if Switch keeps selling they could end up being third, but this doesn't in no way mean Xbox is bankrupt or a bust. So while people are worried that the features and services that actually are appealing to their users aren't helping them beat PS4, I am positive this is a non issue to the actual gamers using them. Gamers can let MS worry about figures, numbers and analytics. As long as Game Pass keeps providing more games and growing is all they care about.
@rob-GP It's providing a better experience for the 10s of millions who own an Xbox while making money for MS, I'm pretty sure that's the goal of any company. Its also getting real gamers back on their side, getting more people playing their exclusives and setting themselves up for a better next gen. It's a fantastic service for Xbox owners and will provide great value next gen especially if Xbox can finally get thier first party house in order.
I'm just waiting for forza horizon 4 and ashen. does anybody know when ashen is releasing
I am waiting for Ashen too.
A great diversity of titles here. Single Player only, racers, co op, casual...this is why GamePass is such a good value.
Dirt 4. Nice. I wonder if we'll get Hellblade soon? What with MS owning Ninja theory now.
Poop I didn't think about that. I bought it.
