Its kinda hard to mess up Tetris. This game looks very fun indeed.

On the contrary, it's incredibly easy to mess up Tetris. There are dozens of tiny nuances in the game (rotation speed, time between piece landing and piece locking, soft drop vs hard drop, rotation speed, unirotation vs birotation, implementation of powerups [I'm looking at you, board swap]) that can make or break a Tetris game. If you listen to some of the E3 interviews with the Tetris Effect devs, they talk about how many tiny mechanics they had to get right (down to the number of frames certain animations were allowed) in order for it to pass compliance with Tetris Company.
