All that b!tching and whining you droids do every freaking day, never works. 360 games are still 98% superior, you might aswell compete with the first Xbox. LOL now on to those daily fantasy pixie dust bizzaro world dreams and denials you droids are famous for.
I think the patch helps a great deal, yes. I was pretty upset, as my previous Bio Shock entry, displayed proudly; but after the patch I think the games are pretty damn close. I think the xbox 360 has some better lighting effects here and there but the fluid nature of the Ps3 version, even in the demo, made the xbox 360 version a fall back plan, if you ask me honestly.
for anyone who hasnt bought it yet I cant say enough good things about it. even pre patch my dad whos played it on 360 backwards and forwards more times than id care to count said it looked just as good on the ps3 when he saw the demo.
I would like to tell you that it's EAs fault that TF2 and all Valve games had a crappy port. Why? you may ask... EA is too lazy and money hungry for an appropriate port. On the other hand I can't understand why Valve tend to be so hard headed against the PS3 hardware.
is the pic with the little sister before or after the patch? because the textures on the ground look like a blured mess, looked far better on the 360 version
Blurred mess? In which pic? In the first one your character was half conscious and every thing was blurry or at least swaying right? In the second picture it like fine to me. I've played the PC version of BioShock and they both look very similair.
And KKKarl, everyone knows that games that are lead on a PS3 will be the better of the two, and PS3 exclusives have more going on and are bigger than 360 games.
I like the 360, and one of the few people who have repeatedly said on multiple occasions that I liked Halo more than Killzone, (and I still like Halo 3 more than Killzone 2 so far) but there has already been exclusive games for the PS3 that make just about all 360 games seem underpowered.
Mark my words, when Gears 2 comes out, a lot of that game will be
- on rails while the scenery moves around you instead of interacting with you.
- determined by how long the level runs, not how long you go through the level, giving it artificial "length"
- in small areas (about basketball court sized) with waves of enemies
- more corridors than open areas, in which open areas will be few and far between
- action will be happening around you, but not interacting with you directly; only by proxy.
If he's not intelligent enough to know that porting a game from 360 to PS3 is extremely hard, he's going to have a hard enough time passing school as it is...
On the other hand...if you feel like discussing a PS3 to 360 port...
LOOKS LIKE SH*T! See, this is what happens when you port a game from the superior 360 to the inferior Fony delaystation! D3LAY B3YOND MOTHER F*CKERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Actually, if you compared the pc version and the xbox version(I always get pc/xbox versions at same time if available)you will see the difference between both are FPS(frames per second). Other than that, pc and xbox versions look identical. PS3's version was improved from looking pixelated, it wasn't improved to be superior to other ports graphics-wise. Other than that it is an awesome game, hope you ps3-only owners enjoy it to the fullest(with the new content) when it releases. cheers
well this is better i guess the pixelations b4 the patch didn't really bother me much i didn't really pay much attention to every single little detail cuz the game was fun enough that u would probably not waste ur time looking at every enemy u kill up close so yea...good job 2k & hopefully Bioshock2 comes out around the same time the 360version does X)
Didn't 2k kind of... listen to gamers too with this patch? Saying Criterion is the best developer because they listen to fans shows how narrow minded you are.
There are absolutely way too many immature, biased, misinformed children on this site now. Seriously, get over it & stop it. I don't see how people aren't embarrassed of themselves when they can't even hold a proper conversation!
You are not a gamer if your bias doesn't allow you to enjoy different games on different systems.
I think those who I meant that towards understand it is meant for them, be it MS fanboy or otherwise. But as of late there is just so much bias coming from 360 "gamers"...if you are a gamer you give props when it is due and actually PLAY other games.
it should look better than the 360....a year extra to develop the ps3 version good work on the patch because i downloaded the demo and even though i thought the graphics were great i did notice the pixel especially in the very very beginning when the plane crashes and he is under water and when he first comes up for air good job 2k
To say that Bioshock on the PS3 has more development time is at best a misunderstanding and at worst an outright lie.
The PS3 version of Bioshock is a PORT, and was coded after development had ceased (ca'put) on the 360. 2K studios had one year to rewrite 360 code into PS3 code and get the game running properly on a completely different console. Basically the 2K's studio was given x amount of dollars and x amount of time to just get the game in "working" condition for EA to publish.
With the limited dev window 2K could only assure that Bioshock (PS3) was atleast on par with the 360 version. EA is not in the business of spending money on ports that do not have GTA4 like sales.
That is different from let's say Alone in the Dark, because development for the 360/PS3 was in tandem. Alone in the Dark PS3 IS in longer development time, because the PS3's code was written roughly at the same time as the 360's.
A port is simply a translation of code (computer language) from one architecture to another. The PS3 architecture is, as everyone should know, is very different from the 360 and PC. You can blame it on the Cell (IO) processer if you have to. Translating anything, be it a novel or a movie, takes a lot of time and resources all its own, even though the source material was not expanded upon.
I was mistakenly referred to EA as the publisher because I was thinking about the rumor that EA was interested in acquiring 2K, hence the EA reference. I don't remember "going on" about EA. I mentioned it briefly twice in what was several paragraphs. How is that "going on" about it? It has no baring on the argument and you need to nit-pick somewhere else.
Looks best on Ps3,wouldn't you agree Silogon?
Exclusive to the Ps3.Official announcement coming shortly
Xturd tears will come along with the announcement as well
