Its fine by me as long as its fun. MP doenst need to be in everything. This is a whole new game that doesnt have some of the RPG elements like DS either

Abriael2556d ago

Totally fine for me as well. I actually prefer single player only for this kind of games.

DivineAssault 2556d ago

My only concern is Activision being the publisher. Especially after seeing the crap they make other devs put into modern titles

BiggerBoss2555d ago

I prefer SP too, but the multiplayer in Souls games were great, and had a very dedicated fan base. I don't know how to think about this.

Also, Activision...

Tobse2555d ago

Are you kidding me?Multiplayer is the most fun thing in the game

darthv722555d ago

No one is saying otherwise. Its just that not every game needs it.

bluefox7552555d ago

It was well implemented multiplayer, but hardly the most fun thing about it.

BlaqMagiq12555d ago

Multiplayer isn't always the most important thing. Not every game needs it.

Snookies122555d ago (Edited 2555d ago )

That's not true at all, I love every minute of my single-player play through of From Software games. I always go through solo before doing anything multi-player on them. I feel like it's slightly cheating getting help, even from the NPC's in Bloodborne that you could summon for instance.

DivineAssault 2555d ago

Its fun but not the most fun thing about them. I enjoy defeating the game alone first. Then go back to find more items. I get why people like the MP but theres also people who like the isolated & lonely worlds to explore

My sadness for this is the same as my sadness over Cyberpunk being first person, which is bittersweet. Yeah one of my favorite parts about souls games is the enjoyment of playing them co-op and pvp with my little brother and roommate, and I heavily prefer role playing a character in third person like in the Witcher 3, BUT these are two of my favorite developers and they have EARNED the benefit of the doubt to be creative in THEIR own way to create their vision in the ways they think it will be most fun. This recent news has actually ramped up some of my excitement for these two games just knowing there are new unexpected wrinkles to their formulas, can’t wait!

BiggerBoss2555d ago

How? Multiplayer is one of the major reasons that the Souls games are as popular as they are.

And this is coming from a Singleplayer only guy.

CaptainOmega2556d ago

I'll have to see more gameplay. The combat didn't look appealing from what was shown in the trailer.

starchild2555d ago

It looked extremely appealing to me. Sekiro looks like my dream game. Love the combat, the stealth and the traversal mechanics.

Einhander19712555d ago

More single player games the better not interested in MP.

Tobse2555d ago

If they release SP only I wont buy it at launch, may aswell pirate it. Dark Souls and Demon’s Souls online was awesome

Chaosdreams2555d ago

It's completely up to you on whether or not you purchase the game. However, pirating the game of a respectable developer is an insult. It also removes your voice on the matter. Why would they take consideration of a game function if the person complaining is already revealing they plan to rip them off?

While the online components (in particular the ghost apparitions) are awesome, they've got a different vision in mind for this IP. They've stated other games in the Souls like format will come at a later time, so maybe just hold up until then?

Naturally this is me giving a serious reply, to your thoughtless remarks.

Veneno2555d ago

And they were like what the fuck is Dark Souls nerd?!?!?!

BlaqMagiq12555d ago

So you're gonna pirate it because it doesn't have MP? That is some dumb reasoning. This game is not Souls and it won't play like Souls. You care more about a mode than a game and that's sad.

Tobse2555d ago

Why should I pay full price for something that doesnt play online?

criticalkare2555d ago

Thats disrespect to the developers....

Tobse2555d ago

This is PC mustardrice

BlaqMagiq12555d ago

Who said anything about paying full price for a game? You can buy it at whatever price you want, but pirating a game because it doesn't have MP is absolutely stupid. This is not a Souls game.

Tobse2554d ago

not mp = free2play on pc

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice Review

NoobFeed editor Ahnaf Tajwar writes - FromSoftware cooked up one of the best combat systems with Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and never did anything like it again. That may be a good thing, as it makes this game one of a kind. If you are a fan of Souls games or a borderline masochist, you will, without a doubt, love Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice because it is a masterpiece. It is a must-play for all hardcore gamers.

Hells yeah. Would love to see another really tight action focused title next. Be cool if he did something completely different, like a cyborg-ninja game.
