-Foxtrot2141d ago

Hopefully they aren't announced until most of the games they have now have release dates.

Ceaser98573612141d ago

Almost all Sony first party did deliver Games on the PS4.. ND is delivering their 2nd game on the PS4.. Sucker Punch and GG is doing the same with Second son and GOT , Shadow fall and Zero dawn.. SM did GOW.. Sony Bend with Days gone.. Who is left? Kinda excited to learn new exclusives still in work for the PS4 but who is working on those I would love to learn.

Lovable2141d ago

Who cares about games? It's all about the Cross platform! Games don't matter at all! /s

badz1492141d ago

I don't think Sony needs to confirm anything about this. it's Sony, not MS. we know there are more exclusive games coming

G3ng4r2141d ago

Doubt it, they would have been leaked already.

2141d ago
nowitzki20042141d ago

This is common sense, We know Sony has plenty more in the works.

CaptainOmega2142d ago

I would expect something new at PSX.

Brave_Losers_Unite2142d ago

Last PSX was absolute garbage. Idk man

blackblades2142d ago

Why you saying it was garage? it's for the gamers.

dirkdady2141d ago

I wish Sony did their press conferences like before with dudes like Shu and others. Moving on stage to present new games. Shawn needs to go back to the traditional format

Saigon2141d ago

Got to remember the format they use is because gamers complained. They complained about everything, format. pace, new games shown, not enough of what’s coming out shown and recently now not enough new games. Gamers keep complaining or maybe it’s the journalist but Sony makes changes based on the complaints. So, if you want to see new games...you have to view a different conference. Looking at the last few years most of Sony new games have been announced outside of E3.

To be honest I wish Gamers or Journalist, whomever is the key factor, would just keep their comments to themselves and focus on the games shown. E3 has become a fashion show of who presents the games we want to play in a better format. Honestly, who cares...focus only on the actual games. I don't care how its presented as long as you show me the GRIT…the GAMES.

uth112141d ago

i agree Saigon, Sony listened to the complainers to a fault, and this is what we end up with. Everybody generally loved the format of 2015/2016. those should be their starting templates.

IamTylerDurden12141d ago (Edited 2141d ago )

PSX is an event that Sony chooses to put on for fans. It costs them money and takes games from E3. They don't have to put on PSX, but they do it for us. Stop acting like you are owed.

rivaldoo7772141d ago

@dirkdady
At least Sony has the guts to show it differently although it didn't seem to work as intended whereas MS followed Sonys 2016 ways where you show trailers after trailers. Sony knows how to take risk and if anybody can do this I'd say Sony is the only one.

mkis0072141d ago

Not for me who was there.

blackblades2142d ago

Yeah after spiderman release they'll want to replace the slot for another exclusive. They'll want to save some for the ps5 announcement and show us what to expect from there new console.

DJ_Professor_K2142d ago

Finally someone got it they are working on the ps5 line up

Kokyu2141d ago

@Dj

Lots of us get it man there is just tons of people in denial about next gen cause for some reason they want another 10yrs cycle.

xX-oldboy-Xx2141d ago

Kokyu - Sony supports consoles for 10yrs +, they don't wait 10yrs to release a new console.

morganfell2141d ago

You saw some PS5 titles at the show. You can expect TLOUII, Death Stranding, and Ghosts of Tsushima to be PS5 functional out of the box.

TGS and PGW

UCForce2142d ago

They are holding some things back. Hmm, I wonder what it would be ?

Araragifeels 2142d ago (Edited 2142d ago )

Every year, PlayStation always holding back unannounced Exclusive. Those unannounced Exclusive better be PS5 games since I want Launch day to have better Exclusive.

UCForce2141d ago

PS4 is doing pretty well and there is no need to rush it.

zeuanimals2141d ago

Yeah. Remember, TLOU released the same year the PS4 launched. Imagine TLOU as a launch title for the PS4. Game of the generation contender as a launch title? That would've been insane.

Kokyu2141d ago

Im pretty sure games like Ghost of tsushima and cyberpunk 2077 are going ti be cross gen Ps5 games.

fiveby92141d ago

Assuming that PS5 hardware architecture is still x86 based via an AMD chipset, yes I suspect all PS4 games will be compatible with PS5. This upcoming gen is fundamentally different than Sony moving away from Cell (PS3) and MS moving away from PowerPC (X360). The instruction set of the next gen will be iterative of the current gen so there should be no need for backward compatibility via a virtual machine. I think Sony is gearing up for PS5 and plays a very patient game.

Flewid6382141d ago

So if the games are masterpieces on PS4, you wont play them? lol

+ Show (2) more repliesLast reply 2141d ago
dumahim2141d ago

I would think they'll always have unannounced exclusives simply due to how many studios they have and they're not going to announce stuff right when they start working on something. Example, Guerrilla Games is working on something we don't know about. Once Spider Man is done, Insomniac will be working on something. etc...

mkis0072141d ago (Edited 2141d ago )

Id like to think we know EXACTLY what guerrilla is working on...somethings on the Horizon:)

Araragifeels 2141d ago (Edited 2141d ago )

@UCForce When did I mention that PlayStation need to rush the PS5 out? I only said that it unannounced Exclusive better be PS5 exclusive launch title (doesn't have to be all of them) since PS4 gen is ending soon so it's better to have variety and strong launch day.

@kokyu I am talking about unannounced games, not games that was already announced.

Plus PlayStation always mentioned that they holding back title which I not saying it a bad thing.

Turned based Phantasy Star and Shinning Force remain at the top of my list of Sega IPs that need to return. At the very least I'd take a Shining Force collection that has 1,2,3, CD and the Game Gear entries.

FinalBoss4d ago

I was hesitant to put these two on. I've personally played more PSO than the RPG version. And shame on me, I don't remember much about Shining Force to talk about it properly.

That said, so many Sega licences deserve their place in this list.

jznrpg2d ago

A new Phantasy Star in the numbered series would be amazing. Shining Force too. But I’d settle on some collections as that’s probably the best we will get

anast4d ago

I don't trust Sega to do a proper comeback. The games will be just remastered and/or monetized to death.

gold_drake3d ago

shining force.

but indont see that happening unfortunately.

Former Blizzard President Suggests Players Should Have Option to Tip Developers

Former Blizzard president Mike Ybarra recently suggested an interesting concept that has sparked a debate among gamers - the idea of being able to tip developers after completing a game.

LG_Fox_Brazil10d ago

If I had a 100% way to be sure that this money would go to a fund or a reserve dedicated only to the guys who develop the games, be them designers, artists, programmers and so on, I could think about it.

But we all know that this 'tip' would only end up in a publisher's CEO pocket to buy a new yacht, so, no, I ain't tipping anyone anytime soon on this industry

neutralgamer19929d ago

Exactly these companies were raising money for good causes and gamers were donation and come to find out they are keeping a good chunk of be pie

PapaBop9d ago

Yeah tip your developer, 5% proceeds go to developer, 95% to the publisher or whoever. Isn't tipping for staff not making minimum wage? How about they just pay their developers properly and like you know, give them fair bonuses? Too much to ask from Blizzard these days, Kotick saw to that and is now laughing all the way to the bank.

MrDead9d ago (Edited 9d ago )

It's the t**ts at the top looking at ways to cut devs wages and get the players to tip them like waiting staff, and I'll guarantee a percentage is skimmed and kept by Activision Blizzard. This is 100% for shareholder and CEO playouts.

Popsicle9d ago (Edited 9d ago )

I have to agree with this. On the surface tipping devs sounds like a great idea, but in the end it leads to pay cuts and subsidization of pay. Tips then become an expectation or the devs “can’t make a living.” Lastly, especially in the US, tip culture has gotten out of control, and it serves as an excuse not to properly pay employees. Sounds good but doesn’t end well.

drizzom8d ago

@ Popsicle

I think your right on the nose with how much tipping has become rampant. Instead of it being a relationship directly between the customer and the developer or employee, it now has a middle man ingrained in the system. DoorDash is one example. It ends up becoming a metric where the company can measure 'just how much more money you are willing to part with' before raising the price on the main product.

1Victor9d ago

Uh so they’re trying triple dip or more we buy the game that they’re already withholding/cutting content for dlc we was told that season pass would help the developers thrive we felt for it.
Now on top of all that plus their sales bonus they want tips enough is enough whatever happens to you create/built a good game get a bonus for sales milestones you care about your game and community we reward you with more sales not for doing 3/4 of a game then save the other 1/4 for dlc and passes after

raWfodog9d ago

The 'tip' is me buying your game in the first place.

S2Killinit9d ago

Very well said. If it was possible to send the money to either the developer or some organization for the betterment of gaming, sure. But we all know that will not be the case.

Rynxie9d ago (Edited 9d ago )

No, it would go to those on the top. They will still fire developers, have a bunch of microtransactions, raise prices of games and so on.

H910d ago

So they eventually don't pay their workers and depend on our tips to pay them like the case with waiters!

Deeeeznuuuts9d ago

That kind of practice is only normal in the states, as far as I know anyway, what a backwards system

H99d ago

No it's as well in a every country that wants to amercanize

bloop9d ago

Ireland is literally the first stop across the pond and we don't have a tipping culture. The only establishments here that would expect a tip are the tourist haunts that Americans visit. Other than that, you might tip in a restaurant as a sign of gratitude for great service and waiting staff would be paid a full wage anyway.

Rebel_Scum9d ago

Tipping is not customary iin most countries dude. Get a passport lol.

Jin_Sakai10d ago

Is this a joke? How about the big wigs giving up some of their pay for their hard working developers.

MrBaskerville9d ago

Maybe the CEO could earn his money based on tips.

mastershredder10d ago

good god. The devs are not baristas dude. Total 1% ideals. Fing Chadosaurus.
