The Last of Us Part II Release Date Will Be Announced When it's "Very Close;" Lots of Info Revealed

2019 title. They can wait to announce the release date. The game will sell a ton even if they announce a week before release. The game looks amazing!

No doubt. at this point I'm thinking Fall '19, perhaps late Summer. Obviously it's not coming in '18 for several reasons. Plus with the lineup of games we're looking at for early '19 already. Even if it were possible to deliver early '19 strategically it doesn't fit. Already on 2-22-19 alone we have Days Gone, Anthem and Metro. Resident Evil 2 and Kingdom Hearts 3 in Jan. Sekiro and DMC 5 currently pegged as Spring and early '19. Surely there's more in there as well but those are some of the games I've taken notice of, that were given a date or window at E3 so far. Going to be slammed like early '17 with games and I can't wait!!

i think they'll do a similar thing with the first game: they'll release it near the end of the ps4 cicle of life, so in 2020 i think.

Feels like a September 2019 game to me, just the wording Neil uses when saying how long...we really don't know when the other games will drop except Days Gone. With February locked up for that I think they would want some breathing room to announce TLOU release date. Then we need another month for Ghost and Dreams.

Early 2020 for sure. If they announce a late 2019 they will delay it just like uncharted.

So many cool details here. Really love that the enemies call each other by name! The improvements to the AI and better moveset has be extra hyped for this game. It looks almost like a PS5 game too. Which says a lot of NDs talent.

I’ve got a long backlog and Spiderman, Red Dead 2 soon out. Days Gone, Resi 2 remake, Kingdom Hearts 3 etc out in early 19.

I'm.so excited... The Dodge mechanic is a breath of fresh air and evolves the combat and melee more organically. And the fact that if you're near objects or walls in the environment, Ellie dodges contextually to the object... We saw this when she crouched to the car when the woman swing her blade to her. Or like when she doged the arrow that was shot at her in the derilict shop in the final part of the trailer.

People accused ND of scripted... And now we have concrete proof that THAT trailer simply showcased all the things made to expand the game's combat system.

Based on TLoU 1 and its reveal at E3 2012 and subsequent release in June of 2013, we can expect TLoU 2 to release in June of 2019, give or take a month.

Going to be epic. I wanted to see Joel gameplay but hes there somewhere. Different states with communities of people similar to walking dead. We havent even seen the fungus yet. Definitely going to be a fantastic game & worth the wait. Im sure all 4 of the games shown will be remastered for PS5 as well. These are the final hurrah for this gen until PS5 gets revealed with sequels & whatever else. Wow! GoW 2, HZD2, etc. Gonna be so awesome
