VGChartz's Paul Broussard: "So is Remastered worth $40? Probably not. If you’re new to the series, Dark Souls III provides a more mechanically sound experience with greater gameplay variety, less of the original/remastered’s niggles, and a smaller price tag. The lore for the Souls series is relatively disconnected and as transparent as dishwater, so you won’t initially be missing out on much beyond a few references if you start somewhere else. For returning veterans, there aren’t enough improvements to justify the $40 price tag. It may be worth a buy if you played other games in the series but never got around to the first Dark Souls, but even then I think you’d be better off waiting a bit for a price drop. Given that it’s a remastering, it probably won’t take too long for a cost reduction, and closer to $20 feels much more reasonable given what’s presented here."
Dark Souls Remastered was an oppurtunity for to introduce a new audience to this astounding game, but it failed to rectify the flaws that the original had due to production issues.
GF365: "Oftentimes, video games have characters who are antagonistic and really not very pleasant. Here are some of the friendliest characters in games where you might not otherwise expect to find them."
Here are the most peaceful areas in games that are otherwise quite violent, offering players respite from chaos in the game world.
My first thought was the safe rooms in the resident evil series. When you hear that enchanting music you know you’re safe.
Afterlife in Cyberpunk 2077 is a peaceful area? Erm, hands down and very hard to miss, Misty Olszewski's Esoterica is the absolute epitome of peaceful areas in that game.
The "last of us" deer location i found to be a welcoming respite. It was nice to not have someone trying to eat me.
5/10? Oh shut up! I won't even give this dribble a click.
Vgchartz trying too hard to get clicks.
Okay they should have fixed some more of the issues, i'll fully agree with that but a 5/10 isn't credible given it's supposed to be a review of the overall product and not just the remastering of the title and overall it's a great game.
