That's a stupid analogy. You won't see any stapled pamphlets, typo-ridden manuscripts, or flyers for sale at a bookstore. Some of those may be given away, with no strings attached, but never sold. People who try to stock the shelves with their handmade crap will get escorted to the door.
Exactly why the decision from steam just works. The community ultimately decides who lives and dies. So any asset flippers will likely be publically shamed off the platform due to the sheer volume of negativity that will be involved. And steam saves on man hours.
