Fortnite on Nintendo Switch: Right game, right platform, right time

As time goes on, it seems the leak revealing Fortnite for Nintendo Switch is all but confirmed. We’ll know for certain in roughly 10 days when Nintendo gives its E3 2018 Direct, but until then, can we talk about how big of a win Fortnite on Switch would be for fans and Nintendo?

The Nintendo Switch already has an impressive line up of games for new buyers. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Super Mario Odyssey, Minecraft, Splatoon 2, ARMS, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, DOOM, and an almost endless supply of indie darlings. No console in the history of ever has had a lineup this good, this early, but Fortnite takes this to another level and provides something unique.

Not really, fortnite is online only, not really working on the portability aspect without 4g.

May as well just play it on a phone/tablet?

Can always tether to a mobile when you're on the move if you have decent data. If it runs on mobile, no reason it wouldn't work like this. It would be great on the Switch.

There’s wifi everywhere unless you live in the country.

Online games can be tethered directly to your phone's data. Splatoon runs great like this and takes a little more than 100mb per hour. The game will likely run better than it does on phone/tablet, and it will have a good control scheme, so that's why Switch > Tablet.

Pretty much any online game only uses about that much data, only exceptions would be games that download assets as you go but those are rare.

Fortnite will play worse on switch. How do you expect to play online on the go lol

Wifi and mobile hotspot

New York wifi is from Google 1 gig speed they replace all our old public phones that you put a quarter in with the Google wifi......n if you not on that, there is optimum wifi which covers almost everywhere

Finding a wifi not a problem......using your phone as hotspot is even easier I never lag...............

As a pc gamer im used to be people being horribly technologically ignorant...

Tether it to your phone? Everyone has smartphones these days. I can't imagine a human being dumb enough to buy a Switch before a smartphone...
