I bought in at $45 and have enjoyed all of the hours I’ve put in already and it keeps getting better with every update. This is the first early access game I have actually enjoyed for over 200 hours.

Dont speak facts.. people see Star Citizen, people hate.. even though they probably havent spent a penny and complain more than people that have.

There is a 30-40 minute development deep dive EVERY SINGLE THURSDAY on their Youtube channel. Is it taking along time to develope? Yes.. does that mean its a scam? No.. So many mindless cucks. I couldn't imagine what the drones would be crying about if Rockstar had announced Red Dead Redepemption 2 was in development when they started on it... in 2010... Quality takes time, especially when your creating new technology, multiple game studios, & 2 games simultaneously.

@ONESHOTV2 I’m sorry, but you are not helping here. I know Star Citizens is huge project and a lot of people want this game to be their dream of being true sci fi game. But you need to have realistic expectations. The game need to be finished as soon as possible. Right now, people going to keep questioning about their PR marketing and it won’t end well if they keep doing this. A half baked game ? Really ? Sure, there are some unfinished games like SoT and unpolished SOD2. But there are some games like God Of War and Detroit Become Human are complete and polished game. God of War have been developed for 5 years and they released the game. More importantly, you need to have realistic expectations to make sure the production to be there. The sad thing is that you hate console gaming and blaming them for holding gaming back. It’s not fact. It’s called vendetta. You have personal problems with console gaming.

"So many mindless cucks."
obviously, seeing this game managed to get over $200m funds

I think you're missing the point. When you are publicly funded for well over $100mil and you're selling "any pack for $27k" and still in Alfa, then it's a scam.

I get that crazy people want to throw thousands at this game and that's there choice. But in no way should any development team be asking for this kind of money for any pack on f*cking video game.... that's just plain arrogance.

Well I guess that makes it all ok then. /s

Relientk772560d ago

Yeah I'm sure fans wanted to pay $27,000 for digital ships in a game which have no real world value.

Seems legit

We live in a world where Bitcoin is valued at thousands of dollars...

nowitzki20042559d ago (Edited 2559d ago )

I have seen much dumber purchases, im sure you have as well. Its not like you have to ever spend a penny or play the game lol.

HylianMigz2560d ago

i just dont get who/why anyone would even consider buying this. they must have a lot of money and be extremely bored.

Codewow2560d ago

Why would anyone buy temporary boosters in any game? You answered the question yourself.they have plenty of money to spare. They’re called whales in the gaming industry.

"Hey baby, so this is my apartment."

"It's pretty small and kind of trashy. Couldn't you afford a better place?"

"Just wait. You haven't seen the best part yet"
*Boots up Star Citizen*
"Check out these bad boys. They're the nicest and most spacious ships available. Who needs a nice apartment when I have everything I need right here?"

"I'm leaving!"

Still, "we're adding giant worms" I'm sure is a good enough update for the plebs to sink another couple of million into this game.
