If Switch JRPG goodness is what you seek look no further than Earthlock | Entertainium

"Earthlock: Festival of Magic is an impressive indie effort, and regardless of these annoyances, it’s worth picking up and giving it a go, even more so if you’re nostalgic for that particular era in JRPG history." - Eduardo Reboucas, Entertainium

This game isn't that good imo. A good JRPG for Switch is Atlier. Also look into Disgaea 5 Complete, Penny Punching Princess, and Xenoblade Chronicles 2.

There's more but these are what I've played, some on other systems.

Played this on Xbox... it's not bad. Wouldn't necessarily say it's JRPG goodness tho.

Does that extend to the remake/extended edition or just the original (with "Festival of Magic" in the subtitles)?

gangsta_red2582d ago

I was not aware there was an extended/remake version. I believe the one I played was Festival of Magic and it was offered free for GWG.

coolbeans2582d ago

Yeah, the team did A LOT of tinkering with it since then. If you go on the store you'll see EARTHLOCK now (w/ subtitle erased from it).

Will have to check it out again. The game was definitely pretty good.

Better or worse than battle chasers ? Of course I know there's other RPGs but I just bought battle chasers over earthlock so just curious

I have not played Battlecry Chasers yet, but I've heard good things about it!

I get every free game they offer even though I have a Mac and can't play them. The more money wasted the better!

N4GTG585d ago

I add them every week, whether I'll ever play them or not

Furesis585d ago

I only add what i'm interested in. I don't want my library to look like gaming vomit.
And i never wanna open Epic Store unless i have to.

Samantha's Top Games of 2018

MonsterVine: "I played a lot of games in 2018… Although since I’m slowly drowning in my game backlog, many of those games weren’t from 2018. For example, I finally played Yakuza 0, which turned out to be a phenomenal game in every way. With that said, 2018 featured a lot of standout releases, so here are the ones I enjoyed the most."
