New Core Series Pokémon RPG Title In Development for the Second Half of 2019

Trainers can look forward to even more with an all-new core series Pokémon RPG title in development for the second half of 2019!

-Foxtrot2573d ago

PHEW...I honestly thought the GO infested games were the real deal.

AnotherProGamer2573d ago

it would have been nice to see a short teaser trailer for the new core game though, even just a 3 second trailer of just some environments

Prince_TFK2573d ago

I believe we’ll see something at E3.

General-Morpice2573d ago

That wouldn't be a prudent investment considering they want people to buy the Let's Go games first.

Realplaya2573d ago

Did you not watch any of the video presentation?

-Foxtrot2572d ago

The trailers came on after separately, I didn't feel the need to. Not to mention it seems with these things the translations always get muddled.

Zodiac2573d ago

I know this E3 will be focused on 2018 games, but that is only about a year away. It would be perfectly normal to show something with release being in about one year.

So, this is the cash grab one up front, then the main game later? Got it.

PapaBop2573d ago

But when they play this game, they are smiling, they're clearly enjoying it more than those pesky Sony fans.

lociefer2573d ago (Edited 2573d ago )

@PapaBop i know right ? those stability updates on the ps4 too, what's up with that !

PhoenixUp2573d ago

I always told people that gen 9 was coming next year. Idk why people didn’t listen to reason

Razmiran2573d ago

Probanly because gen 8 is next

Prince_TFK2573d ago (Edited 2573d ago )

Thank you for being right. Anyway, at least we’ll have another Pokemon game to tie us over till next year.

DrierofLeaves2573d ago

This is perfect all around! More casual games this year, ones for the fans next year :)

Perfect all round would be them staying faithful to Pokemon yellow (wild pokemon battles etc) while simultaneously offering the Go style functionality to make the game more appealing to Go fans. This just looks like it's designed for Go fans while us former Pokemon fans have to be patient and wait an extra year for our game.

Is anyone expecting anything less? It will be exclusive to Switch 2 eventhough it will still look like a 3DS game

Inverno48d ago

I think the 3DS games look better than anything GF released on Switch.

--Onilink--48d ago

To be fair, The Pokemon Company operates quite independently, so it wouldn’t have been that strange for a Pokemon game coming out in just the 2nd year of the S2’s life to still be crossgen. I mean, just how long into the PS5 and SX life are we and we are still seeing plenty of crossgen stuff

gold_drake49d ago (Edited 49d ago )

not surprised.

nintendo was prepared to have some games sell the console.

im sure the game will still look like its from the ps2 era tho.

coldfire98447d ago

that is in part because of the chip shortage when everyone over reacted to sars in 2019.

Kosic48d ago (Edited 48d ago )

I've lost interest in pokemon, the mega evolve stuff was a poor digimon rip off, then the stuttering mess the 3d versions are.
I'd love a remake of gold/silver in a top down view like lets go pikachu had, but sticking with the traditional pokemon mechanics.

CrimsonWing6948d ago

Uh, yea, that’s how console generations are supposed to work…
