H1Z1 dev battles login issues as PS4 open beta hits 1.5m players

Battle royale game H1Z1 is out now on PlayStation 4 - and it's been an early hit.

The game's open beta has seen over 1.5 million players, developer Daybreak announced, since it launched just two days ago.

Ps4 might as well be the saving grace for this game. I'm trying it tonight.

Has anyone try squads? How's the connection? (Lag, voice communication issues etc)

Downloaded it last night, haven’t played with a squad.. didn’t notice bad lag, but the pop ins killed it in the beginning. Once I got the initial pop ins it ran pretty smooth for me

Parachute is the only issue that I have noticed and you can't control it.

No issues, but I was in a chat party with friends. Playing wise, the lag was not really an issue or I did not notice any. The ads could use some cleaning up. The short camera change to ads takes a few to get use to... but the shooting itself was on point.
My other issue personally from my short go, I could not find any cool mid to long range weapons and I feel like the circle closing in is too fast to really search for any. The only time I could find said weapons, was off of other players. Even with having a car, I found myself behind the poison wall on my second stop unless I dropped in the middle of the circle.

As of yesterday, no issues connecting to a game, but if I chose to back out to the lobby after a match, I would then be stuck in a que. would have to close the game and reopen it.
That is really my only two gripes as of now.
I play on the pro and the graphics are solid(ie no real pop ins, no screen tearing), frames were consistent with no stutter.

I had fun. I am sure as I adapt, the circle closing speed may be appropriate.. but it does seem too fast as of now as I am adjusting to the game on a noob level.

I read somewhere that they aim for 15 min matches so the circle's speed might be adjusted accordingly? So if that's the case we will have to...get on with it as soon as we land.

I want to play this game but I keep getting this error message saying Failed to connect to servers. Yesterday I tried ro connect for 40 minutes wirhout any luck.

But I do love how everyone loves BR games. Looks like even on consoles they're big news.
