Destiny 2's second expansion moves in the right direction, but still has a ways to go before the franchise is at its best as a hobby game.
Today, Destiny 2 is better than it was 3 months ago and from what the guys who saw the September update have been saying, it will become even better in next 3 months so fingers crossed?
Only if you're willing to pay money for it. If the game is better because of paid DLC then what's point.

Destiny 2’s Warmind expansion ought to look familiar. It’s the solid follow-up to a thoroughly disappointing first expansion—just as House of Wolves was to The Dark Below for the first Destiny. It also brings players back to Mars, another original Destiny location, and revives the story of the titular Warmind A.I. that has run in the series’ background for years
