PSP Fanboy writes: "There are probably two questions our readers are most likely to have about Bleach: Soul Carnival, PSP's upcoming 2D chibi-reworking of the popular Shonen Jump series. First: is it good? Second: will it come out to the States? In spite of a strong following in the States (and a slew of other Bleach titles on the Wii and DS), it doesn't appear as if there are any plans on bringing any of Sony's Bleach games out of Japan. And that's a shame, really. Soul Carnival looks to be a worthwhile addition to the PSP lineup.
The Heat the Soul series on PSP were met with fan excitement, thanks to their diverse rosters and impressive graphics. However, with five iterations in less than five years, it was clear that Sony had milked that franchise a bit too much. With Soul Carnival, the Bleach series moves away from being a serious fighter, to a cute 2D sidescrolling brawler."
"A lieutenant in the 10th division of The Gotei 13. A very carefree, lazy and beautiful woman who tries to uses her charms to win over any situation. Her Zanpakuto is named Haineko and allows her to turn her sword to ash and control it to envelop her enemies.
About the games: The first game to be released from the Bleach series was Bleach: Heat the Soul, which debuted on March 24, 2005, and the latest release being Bleach: Soul Carnival 2, which was released on December 10, 2009. There are 19 games holding the "Bleach" name, not including the two crossover games, Jump Super Stars and Jump Ultimate Stars, which feature characters from numerous Weekly Shōnen Jump anime and manga series."
The bleach games are some of the best fighters on the PSP and DS. Easily worth importing.
Ummm... She looks like a 17 year old boy wearing a wig in some of those pics. >.>
But I'm liking those boobs though.
Here's a new gameplay video of the latest Bleach videogame called Bleach : Soul Carnival for the PSP which is now available in Japan.
1UP writes: "Bleach: Soul Carnival is a 2D side-scrolling action game for PSP, starring cute superdeformed versions of characters from the popular anime series.
This is the first time that we've played the game, and we were happily surprised with just how enjoyable it is to run around and slice up enemies as series protagonist Ichigo. Enemies come at you at a decent clip as you move through the level -- just enough so that you feel constantly engaged, not overwhelmed. Though you can definitely jam on the main attack button for modest success, Carnival Souls actually has some depth to its combat."
